We went there for lunch and it was one of THE BEST experiences I had in food industry. We didn’t book so we walked-in and sat at the bar. Every plate we picked was full of flavour, surprising taste and texture. Dishes were simple but mastered to perfection. I think menu changes from time to time what makes it even more exciting to come back to. Nice selection of wines and spirits. Nice ambience with old deco located on the upper level of the building. Waiters with cool and casual uniforms. We had a good recommendations from a Waiter about the wines although I was missing his smile and enthusiasm. The others seem to have the same kind of attitude. That’s why I gave one star less for service. Overall I love the place and recommend it to all my friends visiting London. I look forward going back too.

One of our top restaurants in London. The menu changes based on what’s in season. The thick cut bread is our favourite in the city. The house made chorizo and duck rice are so flavourful. Friendly and attentive service. The space is well designed, cozy pub vibes. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant with, in my view, the best steak in London. It is very busy with excellent service, just something to be aware of is that it’s a pretty small space with the tables very close together. The noise is not too bad but I was with a guest who is hard of hearing who did find it difficult to ask the waiter questions.

This restaurant was an unplanned adventure (out of character for me) but it ended up being a delightful surprise. As I stepped in, expecting more of a pub-like atmosphere, I was treated to a seat at he bar right away where you can watch the culinary magic unfolding in the kitchen. Every dish I ordered was a delight, but the tartare and flatbread truly stood out. That cheesecake though - to die for! Food: 5 Service: 4 Ambience: 5

Brat, in my opinion, is a culinary gem with outstanding food that never fails to impress. The flavors and creativity that go into each dish are simply remarkable, making it a haven for food enthusiasts. However, I do feel that the staff's attentiveness could be improved to match the high standard of the cuisine. While the service isn't lacking, a bit more attention to detail would enhance the overall dining experience. Additionally, some might find the menu slightly overpriced, but considering the exceptional quality of ingredients and the culinary expertise, it's a price I'm willing to pay for a memorable meal. Despite these minor points, Brat remains our favorite restaurant. The unique flavors and the cozy ambiance create an unforgettable dining atmosphere that keeps us coming back for more.

Deserves all the praise and should be booked ahead. I had a seat facing the open staging/firing area and loved seeing how the many, many, turbot were grilled by the totally unfazed chefs - it was so fun to watch. We tried several things and particularly loved the langoustines - which were unexpectedly bursting with roe. Those along with the buttery smoked potatoes felt almost too decadent.

One of my top three restaurants in London. The atmosphere of the restaurant is so welcoming. The sort of place where you could have a 3hr meal and not even notice it. The food is incredible, the drink list is always well curated and the restaurant design is quaint and traditional. I highly recommend this restaurant. The only thing to note is that the mains are priced quite high, so sometimes we’ll get a bunch of smaller sharing plates instead (but this may not be the best strategy if you’re really hungry).

Our meal at Brat was simply one of the best we enjoyed during our stay in London. We heard about your wonderful restaurant from friends back home in the US and then saw it featured on Someone Feed Phil. The experience was amazing, the service, the ambiance, and the food was incredibly delicious. The Turbot had me sucking on the bones to get every morsel, the squid was exquisite, and the bread made for an excellent tool to capture the sauce of the turbot. I would recommend anyone visiting London must make it a goal to stop by your fine establishment. Cheers

Have been planning to come here for a while now, and finally managed to for a birthday. The food was good, you can taste the fresh ingredients. We loved everything we ordered, except the olive oil ice cream, which was just ok and had ice flakes inside. It was a reasonable price for what you get in terms of food quality. The wait between the small plates and the mains was far too long. There are too many tables compared to how many cooks there are preparing all the food. The tables are definitely “closely spaced” as it mentions on the website. They are uncomfortably close. The staff was attentive, but something was lacking. We mentioned that one of the mains was priced incorrectly on the bill, there was no apology, just that the bill will be amended. There was an additional charge for charity. Granted we did not ask to take it off, but it was not mentioned anywhere on the website, menu or by the staff. Lastly, it was a birthday and noted on the system. I did not expect much, but it is simple to “make someone’s day” with a small gesture, be it by greeting them or even just writing a message on the plate of the dessert.

What a find. Every dish we had was high quality and unusual. The duck rice was exceptional. Burnt cheesecake didn't sound great but was light and delicious. Vino Verde accompanied everything with a nice refreshing fizz. The staff were welcoming & knowledgeable. We will be back.
