Best coffee place in London; super friendly staff, fantastic blends and a very tempting choice of baked goodies to go with it. Can't praise enough.
I spent a week in London, going to different art galleries and coffee shops all over town but this place was hands down the best. Amazing atmosphere, super nice people and the most important - coffee to die for.

Awesome coffee in the heart of London.
Last year (August 2016), we were in London and had read about some cafes that were producing great coffee. Being from Sydney, the land of brunch and coffee, we were in need of a damn good caffeine hit after having been in Europe for the previous two weeks. We went on the hunt for this venue while wandering around and we definitely weren’t disappointed.
This is a great little spot serving fantastic coffee. Awesome name to boot!

Department of Coffee and Social Affairs have expanded quite a lot since they first opened in Leather Lane back in 2010. The focus here, other than on great coffee is on people and each location is purposely allowed to have its own identity and atmosphere.
I officially found the best latte and custard tarts on this planet.. Though the tarts were a bit small for the price, I am in no regret. Definitely recommended

Amid all the usual coffee suspects that seem to be on every street corner in the West End is this exceptional cafe tucked away just off Carnaby Street. Its a tiny little place with not much room inside although outdoor seating is available.
This cafe is all about the coffee and its the star of the show - their espresso is nutty, full of flavour and perfectly prepared by the baristas. They will serve it exactly how you want, be it macchiato, latte or ristretto. In addition they also have several filter coffees featuring 'guest' beans from all over the world so you can really experience coffee in all its varied forms and flavours. You can buy coffee making equipment from here too such as the Espro Press and coffee beans so you can enjoy it at home.
They also offer many types of tea, and the food and cakes are delicious.

They serve one of the best Americanos i've had in london. Strong, punchy, yet balanced and elegant. They have some amazing cakes but no gluten free options (apart from oat bars).
The interior is spacious, with beautiful wooden decor and lit naturally by skylights above. Lacking in power sockets so not ideal to go and work there.
Staff are friendly and helpful and deliver your order to the table. It's a really great spot to hang if you manage to get a seat.
I always found them to serve good coffee, awesome coffee. They have yet to disappoint. My only gripe is no WiFi.
