Tantalising tapas at a reasonable price for South Ken. Little sister to Cambio de Tercio across the road, where you’ve got a decent chance of spotting Rafa Nadal. This group have been the leaders of proper Spanish food in London for a while.
I crave this restaurant all the time. Their tapas are fantastic!! Start with the pan con jamon under cold tapas. Delish!
Fantastic tapas. Dined here several times last summer but could not remember the name until I found it today on Urbanspoon. One of the best restaurants in the neighborhood, Tendido Cero delivers what you're looking for in a tapas joint. My personal favorite dish is the crunchy Arzua cheese with sweet tomato marmalade. The lamb casserole with roasted almonds and white wine is also quite nice. Good service and great atmosphere to boot.
We ordered around 6 dishes to share: toasted bread with tomato and Iberica ham, lamb stew, patatas bravas, garlic prawns, chicken & bechamel croquettes (not pictured but my favourites!), and mussels (not pictured).
I love the concept and the apparent specialism of each joint; standard of cooking is consistently high, a touch of modernisation to keep things interesting even for conventional recipes. Plus friendly staff, bubbly ambience, and a thick wine list, I can’t fault this place.
My father’s one food wish in London was to go for another tapas meal – the last time he was here, I took him to Barrafina but this time, wanting to try something a bit different, I turned to the Cambio de Tercio group. Of their four restaurants, I chose Tendido Cero as their menu online had a good balance of both modern and classic tapas dishes and made a booking for dinner. When booking, you choose a block of about 2 hours and they’re pretty strict with it, which can make it difficult to relax. Glad to see my father relaxing though with his sangría! Not knowing how large the dishes were, we started with a few and then just kept going with the ordering. Boquerones en Vinagre (baby anchovies in sherry vinegar) (£6.50) were brought to us first and the fresh marinated anchovies were delicious. A bread basket also arrived at our table and was filled with diminutive warm bread rolls that we happily ate up. The Morcilla de Burgos con Tomate (Crispy Burgos black sausage, tomato sauce) (£5.50)
£60 minimum spend per person which was not clear when booking and not even mentioned when ordering food. We were only told of this when asking for the bill. The food however was all very good. Particularly enjoyed their version of patatas bravas.
Great set of restaurants with lovely food. On most days you need a reservation to get a table. Tendido Cero has maintained the food quality over a long period of time, so you will always know what you get: good food!
I really love this place. I have been a loyal customer for years, since 2007.
The food is amazing and the service is also great.
It’s been a year since I last came here as was on a sabbatical leave. I was actually surprised (and disappointed) of the size of your famous ham croquettes! (they have decreased in size!)
Don’t know whose decision this was but it was a bad one!
They are still great though…o
I'm very fan of Cambio de Tercio group.
Tendido Cero is a fabulous place to enjoy a nice selection of proper Spanish tapas.
The atmosphere of the place makes you travel around Spain.
The team is fantastic and very professional helping you to have a nice food experience. As soon as you are in the restaurant you will feel surrounded by their attentions.
Food is really good! You can enjoy every single dish... and if you want to spend good money in wines, you will have an incredible range of wines!
We enjoyed our nice tapas lunch here. Shame there is no paella available yet. We used to go to the sister restaurant in Parsons Green and loved it. This tapas here is as good. Braise pork cheek was excellent, a must try. Delicious sangria too.
As someone who has travelled extensively in Spain, I am very discerning when it comes to Tapas in London! I have been consistently impressed by the quality and authenticity of the dishes served here. The food is complemented by the attentive service and relaxed ambience. Would highly recommend.
I always love a great tapas with an exceptional service. This place is just it. Perfect for laughter, zen, friends, family, drinking beautiful red wine and food. Had the pleasure of having a live guitarist playing mellow music in the background. Great ambience. Brilliant and attentive service!
The food and the service were the best.
Visited early in the evening and watched the restaurant fill up, making us glad we came early. Service was friendly, welcoming and unobtrusive yet highly attentive. The food was superb. Every mouthful was a delight.
The food is absolutely stunning. The reviews don't do it justice as it's hard to describe how amazing every single dish is. This is probably one of the top restaurants in London. The service is very attentive. Couldn't recommend enough!
