Ambrosia

Ambrosia is a lovely restaurant and has gone through a lot of changes since I was last there. Apart from the starters having to be returned because they weren't cooked properly the food was very nice and great service. Would go again. Was here last night to celebrate my birthday. Lovely weather so sat outside. Staff were flexible with timing so we weren't rushed. Went in and had a lovely meal. Ambrosia is fast becoming my favourite restaurant to go to. Was there last night. I tried the tacos starter for the first time. It was filling with great flavours. I hate raw onions but it didn't over power the dish and with the other sauces I was able to eat it without having to pick it out. I had truffle burger with chunky chips. The food is very tasty. My burger was done to my taste and very juicy. Along with a glass of rose and a pina colada. Very happy. Our server Fredo was very attentive and gave us a baileys shot on the house. Lovely surroundings. Only downside is parking is limited but that's normal in London! I look forward to coming back and teyi6some of the other starters! I also want to go for Sunday roast and try the lamb shank dish.

Went to Ambrosia restaurant for my nieces 21st birthday. There were 11 of us and we chose from their fix menu. A starter with a main dish with a Prosecco. It was a good value for money. Tasty food, nice cocktails and complementary shots after food. Excellent service and a great atmosphere. Will definitely go there again.

Love this place, always such a warm welcome. The staff maybe young but certainly do not lack in experience. Maria and her family are so customer focused, it feels like you are having a meal with family. They work extremely hard in a location where they have a lot of competition. The food is always good but their fish / shell fish it amazing. During the summer we sit outside with wine and order course after course of little fish courses. The restaurant can be as cosy as you want for a romantic meal, or as lively as you want for an event. Our daughter held her wedding reception here at the last minute and it was truly and unexpectedly memorable. We have even ordered a take out when we couldn't be bothered to cook but didn't want to go out. Be kind to them here and you will be treated as family. Highly recommended.

Christmas Dinner for Golf members on the 10/12/2022 - Saturday. The food was amazing, delish, generous portion size and well-flavoured. The atmosphere was romantic, private and cosy. Service was very attentive, pleasant and helpful. Thanks so much to Maria for her great service, and for going extraordinary to make sure everyone has their food order correctly served. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Came here for a meal with 7 friends. The decor, service and food were all on point. We were served politely and in a timely manner. We had a mixed starter of hot and cold mezze. All was fantastic but the stand out was the octopus which was surprisingly soft and tender. We had the tomohawk steak for mains which was some of the best I have eaten. Speaking to the owner they age the meat themselves which allows them to provide very high quality meat at a reasonable price. The chocolate fondant was amazing too. Crisp on the outside and oozing in the middle.

I would love to give more stars... but was disappointed with a few bits. The gentleman who welcomed us was a bit abrupt & although we had booked the table he left us sitting at the front of the house where it was a bit chilly ( we were waiting for 1 person, but you can do that at your table too). There was a waitress she was really nice & was trying hard. We eventually got to sit in our booked spot & ordered the food. We didn’t order the starters which was kind of frown at by the waiter & all the plates were swiftly removed. The Main was lovely but a fairly small portion. Dessert was nice. We were then handed the bill with the service charge on top ( my pet hate), I’d like to tip based on the experience not cause I’m told to do so. It was a great evening with friends - but the service was medioka. Nice restaurant just not for us.
