Dates and Tastes
Rhythm Kitchen in Walthamstow was an absolute blast! We got invited there, and it was an amazing ride of flavours and good times.
First up, we dug into the Plantain Fritters and Coconut Peppered Prawns. Yeah, the prawns were a bit messy, but who cares when they taste that good? We couldn't get enough of those spicy, coconut-infused prawns. They were seriously on point.
Now, let's talk mains. We had the Braised Oxtail with rice and peas and some coleslaw, and let me warn you, it was hot! But damn, it was tasty. The oxtail was falling-off-the-bone tender, and the flavours were intense. And hold on tight, 'cause the Jerk Lamb Chops came in swinging. They were full-on jerk-flavoured perfection, with jerk chips and fried plantain to match. That combo was straight-up addictive.
Of course, we needed some drinks to cool down the heat. The New Tropical Sizzler was a fruity explosion in a glass, and the Rum Runner hit the spot with its boozy goodness. They definitely added to the whole Caribbean vibe.
Overall, Rhythm Kitchen was a freaking blast. The food was mind-blowing, the drinks were top-notch, and the vibes were off the charts. We can't thank them enough for inviting us and giving us an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a good time and some seriously tasty Caribbean eats, you gotta hit up Rhythm Kitchen in Walthamstow. Trust me, it's amazing!

You know a restaurant is good when you've thoroughly enjoyed the food and you can take any leftovers for home 😋 Finally got to visit the Rhythm Kitchen and it did not disappoint. Absolutely loved the saltfish fritters, the rum punch and the coleslaw; the braised oxtail was also delish. Staff is polite and friendly, and the place is clean too with some great upbeat music. Would recommend to anyone interested in having tasty, flavourful Caribbean food. I will be back to try the afternoon tea too, which sounds like a whole event!

Been twice in a month and will be back again soon. First was with my old cycling buddies, then I took my daughter whilst she was on break from Uni. The food speaks for itself and the friendly staff have laugh with you too. 2 for 1 cocktails are very well received and well made too. I love the B&W photos on the wall. They take me back to a time when tings were irie!
Loved my Jerk lamb chops, and the Curry goat rotie and jerk wings...
See you soon.

A Big Big thank you to Ann and all the staff at Rhythm. We were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much bother (even my endless emails 😉)The afternoon tea was on point! I'm still thinking about those wings!! My husband really enjoyed his birthday and is already looking for when we will come back.

This review is long overdue! My family celebrated our dads 80th birthday at this restaurant. I cannot speak highly enough of this establishment. Everything was on point! The food, the service, the atmosphere and overall ambience was second to none. We went there with no expectations but left with nothing but positive things to say about this place. If you're looking for a place with good vibes for different age groups then you definitely have to visit Rhythm Kitchen! Thank you guys for a wonderful experience: )

Came here for afternoon tea and I wasn't disappointed. The food was amazing and portion sizes were ample. There was a lovely selection of teas and the rum punch slushy was a hit! Staff are really friendly and accommodating. My only recommendation is for consideration to be given to table size and layout, as space was a little tight, but other than that it was a wonderful experience

In my opinion the best place in East London for Caribbean food.
Friendly, warm service with great food.
My only critique is that I feel the restaurant space could be better to really capitalise on the experience.
I think of Cottons Shoreditch, where the interior design invites people to take pictures of the restaurant, which results in social media exposure
If I'm honest with the space at Rhythm Kitchen, it doesn't inspire me to want to take a picture of where I am and have a great picture to share on Social Media.

Beautiful meal with 1/4 jerk chicken side of rice & peas & delicious coleslaw (my choices). Cocktail to begin was great, sparkling water was given with glass, ice & lemon.
Things got really busy like about 6 lots of people wanted to dine after 830pm all coming in at once plus takeaways coming & going & tables seated. Will definitely return as both ladies lovely & got big smiles from the chef.

So hospitable!
We loved the cocktails, felt they were giving good value there. The food was great too. Best of all was the friendly staff. Thank you!

I went for their Caribbean afternoon tea and was really excited about it as I love afternoon tea and had always thought that someone should do a Caribbean twist on it. It wasn’t disappointed.
Firstly, the staff, and the owner’s wife were AMAZING. Every single person we dealt with was really kind and friendly. There were 2 staff members who really stood out for me - shout out to the lady from Mauritius and there was another lady too but I’m sorry I didn’t get her name. Then I was really proud of the atmosphere and set up. It was lovely to see all the families who came out to try this lovely event. The plantain kebabs were delicious and the rest of the food was too. Also, if you ask nicely, they will top up your food once you’ve finished!
There was a great choice of traditional tea but also a selection of tea I’d expect if I went home to Jamaica (the sorrel and ginger was delicious).
If I had to criticise I’d say I would have loved raisins in the scones and I would’ve liked some strawberry Jam (they only had guava and another which were tasty, but strawberry jam is great on scones). The cake selection wasn’t very large and I wasn’t a fan of the cakes on offer, but my Mum really liked them. Those are the only small improvements I’d make
I’ve been to loads of different afternoon teas including some very expensive ones, but this was definitely up there.
I felt really proud of this innovative idea and the execution and I’d definitely go for afternoon tea there again.
Also, I’ve been there for regular food before and the food is authentic and extremely tasty.
All in all, very very good!

If I could give this restaurant 100 stars I would. The food was delicious, I had salt fish fritters for starters & salmon with salad and coleslaw for dinner. I will be returning. Service was warm and friendly. Lovely atmosphere.

This restaurant saved me many a night I needed to grab some food on the way home. It is a very nice Caribbean Restaurant that serves up a great curry goat and roti. When you eat in the cocktails are great. Located about 5 minutes walk from Walthamstow Central Tube Station it is small restaurant that you can sit in and also provides pick up and takeaway delivery in the local area via the delivery service. Suggest that you make reservations. The staff are friendly and customer focus. It can get busy, so waiting for food can be a pain.

Great food, generous portions and very good value. Service was really fine and Leah and Angela helped make the mid-afternoon dining experience quite special for my 'group of three'.
Although it was not very busy at the time of the visit, the background music created a very chilled yet rapturous atmosphere. Will definitely dine-in again when I next visit Walthamstow

Enjoyed the authentic tasting Caribbean food. Had jerk chicken, rice and peas, coleslaw and fried plantains. Generous portions.
There was a little wait for the meals ( and the restaurant was near empty) but we had plenty of time. However, please change your website to provide accurate information! It says:
'Happy Hour Cocktails
2 cocktails for £14 excl. Zombie and Bounty Killer.
Tue-Thu 5pm-8pm Fri-Sun 1pm -7pm
£14.00'
However, we were told that Happy Hour Cocktails were not available when we went on Saturday at 1:30pm.
Nevertheless, the final bill was reasonably priced. Would return.

Today was their soft opening with 50% off. As you enter the place it feels warm and inviting. The staff were really friendly and made you feel welcome. I did have to wait a bit for my takeaway but they did offer me a drink which was a nice touch.
I had the curry goat which was tender and alot of meat and less bone which is nice. Hubby had the jerk chicken.
My only negative hence the 4 stars was the food was far too salty. Which was a shame as the meat was tender.
Still given it is a new local business I would definitely go back.

I am so glad we now have a decent west Indian restaurant in Walthamstow, between the 7 of us we had ordered at least 11 main courses as we wanted to try more or less everything on the menu, everything was perfect, my mum in law made the best fish cakes (fritters) in the world and I am happy to say that your ones were as good as her's!
We are so happy that all meats on the menu is halal . Thank you X

We visited Rhythm Kitchen on Sunday. It was actually lovely to sit in Rhythm Kitchen and enjoy the experience. The staff were very friendly and knew the menu very well. They have a very good rum selection and the only drawback is that I'm gonna have to come back over and over again to get through them all but it will be worth it.
