I am so glad we now have a decent west Indian restaurant in Walthamstow, between the 7 of us we had ordered at least 11 main courses as we wanted to try more or less everything on the menu, everything was perfect, my mum in law made the best fish cakes (fritters) in the world and I am happy to say that your ones were as good as her's!
We are so happy that all meats on the menu is halal . Thank you X
We visited Rhythm Kitchen on Sunday. It was actually lovely to sit in Rhythm Kitchen and enjoy the experience. The staff were very friendly and knew the menu very well. They have a very good rum selection and the only drawback is that I'm gonna have to come back over and over again to get through them all but it will be worth it.
Rhythm Kitchen in Walthamstow was an absolute blast! We got invited there, and it was an amazing ride of flavours and good times.
First up, we dug into the Plantain Fritters and Coconut Peppered Prawns. Yeah, the prawns were a bit messy, but who cares when they taste that good? We couldn't get enough of those spicy, coconut-infused prawns. They were seriously on point.
Now, let's talk mains. We had the Braised Oxtail with rice and peas and some coleslaw, and let me warn you, it was hot! But damn, it was tasty. The oxtail was falling-off-the-bone tender, and the flavours were intense. And hold on tight, 'cause the Jerk Lamb Chops came in swinging. They were full-on jerk-flavoured perfection, with jerk chips and fried plantain to match. That combo was straight-up addictive.
Of course, we needed some drinks to cool down the heat. The New Tropical Sizzler was a fruity explosion in a glass, and the Rum Runner hit the spot with its boozy goodness. They definitely added to the whole Caribbean vibe.
Overall, Rhythm Kitchen was a freaking blast. The food was mind-blowing, the drinks were top-notch, and the vibes were off the charts. We can't thank them enough for inviting us and giving us an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a good time and some seriously tasty Caribbean eats, you gotta hit up Rhythm Kitchen in Walthamstow. Trust me, it's amazing!
You know a restaurant is good when you've thoroughly enjoyed the food and you can take any leftovers for home 😋 Finally got to visit the Rhythm Kitchen and it did not disappoint. Absolutely loved the saltfish fritters, the rum punch and the coleslaw; the braised oxtail was also delish. Staff is polite and friendly, and the place is clean too with some great upbeat music. Would recommend to anyone interested in having tasty, flavourful Caribbean food. I will be back to try the afternoon tea too, which sounds like a whole event!
Been twice in a month and will be back again soon. First was with my old cycling buddies, then I took my daughter whilst she was on break from Uni. The food speaks for itself and the friendly staff have laugh with you too. 2 for 1 cocktails are very well received and well made too. I love the B&W photos on the wall. They take me back to a time when tings were irie!
Loved my Jerk lamb chops, and the Curry goat rotie and jerk wings...
See you soon.
The Caribbean Afternoon Tea was absolutely amazing! Great atmosphere with exceptional service from Parveen and Leah. The food was flavourful and to die for. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
First time at Rhythm Kitchen but definitely not the last. Food was amazing, fresh and very tasty. Service was the very best, staff was very welcoming and attentive. I went for the afternoon tea and it didn’t disappoint- thank you.
I loved this place. The food was authentic. I would highly recommend everything, I could not fault a thing. The music was soca and it had vibes. Great service from Leah who was friendly from the start.
A Big Big thank you to Ann and all the staff at Rhythm. We were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much bother (even my endless emails 😉)The afternoon tea was on point! I'm still thinking about those wings!! My husband really enjoyed his birthday and is already looking for when we will come back.
This review is long overdue! My family celebrated our dads 80th birthday at this restaurant. I cannot speak highly enough of this establishment. Everything was on point! The food, the service, the atmosphere and overall ambience was second to none. We went there with no expectations but left with nothing but positive things to say about this place. If you're looking for a place with good vibes for different age groups then you definitely have to visit Rhythm Kitchen! Thank you guys for a wonderful experience: )
Came here for afternoon tea and I wasn't disappointed. The food was amazing and portion sizes were ample. There was a lovely selection of teas and the rum punch slushy was a hit! Staff are really friendly and accommodating. My only recommendation is for consideration to be given to table size and layout, as space was a little tight, but other than that it was a wonderful experience
In my opinion the best place in East London for Caribbean food.
Friendly, warm service with great food.
My only critique is that I feel the restaurant space could be better to really capitalise on the experience.
I think of Cottons Shoreditch, where the interior design invites people to take pictures of the restaurant, which results in social media exposure
If I'm honest with the space at Rhythm Kitchen, it doesn't inspire me to want to take a picture of where I am and have a great picture to share on Social Media.
