I had a fantastic experience at the Wilton Arms in London! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The service was top-notch, and the food was delicious - five stars for sure! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The fish and chips were so huge that they could have doubled as a life raft in case of emergency! 🚣♂️😄 And the pork crackling? It popped in my mouth like fireworks on the Fourth of July! 🎆 Not to mention the excellent variety of beers on tap - it's a beer lover's paradise! 🍻 Located down a hidden side street, it's like finding a hidden treasure in the heart of London. Don't miss out on this gem! 💎🇬🇧
Seriously impressed! I spent most of my trip to London trying to find pubs that did a decent pint of bitter, they proved to be rare and in the end just finding a pub that had bitter had to be seen as a success. Though in former days of wider availability I would have seen Doom Bar and London Pride as second or third choices. I was happy not to be offered a selection of bad IPA as in most pubs. The pub is popular, busy and in a swanky part of town. The staff were not only nice and efficient but super obliging and helpful. We hadn't planned to have dinner there until we saw the plates going past! We're both fussy eaters - I said to my companion "See if they will do you the roast accompaniments - without the roast. It's probably the only things you'll like on the menu" The bar man said he didn't think it was possible (because they needed them for the roasts) but went and asked anyway and the chef agreed to do it for us. I had a collection of side dishes mostly veg. Not cos I'm vegetarian but generally I am not keen on roasts. The Yorkshire pudding with (meaty) gravy was fabulous, everything was well cooked and delicious. Broccoli with almonds slivers, yum! A generous portion of cabbage (some type I'd never heard of before but cabbage is cabbage), I like cabbage and the truffle parmesan chips, could actually taste some truffle. forgot to take any photos til I was well dug in! Me and companion - see first comment!
Arrived late on Sunday evening at 9pm. The place is obviously popular as the bar looked as if it had been overwhelmed earlier. We sat outside on the street and watched the world go by. Food and beer was great with the exception of the cabbage whilst being tasty certainly wasn't as described.
