This place is awesome all the way around. :-)

I was so happy to find that Kamome had opened at pop brixton! I loved it when it was at Brixton marker and the new location was as good as I remembered. The broccoli was *chef kiss* as well as the chicken karaage and all the other dishes we ordered. And with cold Asahi to wash down it was perfect
Nothing special about this place but they do really decent comfort food. Recommended the curry, love the kick in the spice. Definitely somewhere I will come back again.
Simple, unassuming Japanese shop in Brixton Village. The donburi was exactly what I needed. Come here for a traditional Japanese home cooked experience
Great sashimi and gyozas. As always, food was awesome.
Look, taste is subjective but I felt compelled to write a review after seeing a slew of bad ones; this place is a small hidden gem! Food has consistently been really good, the best Japanese I’ve had in England without going to somewhere more £££. Always left here content with full stomach (so much so, we usually can’t finish our meals and have to get them packaged up to go since the main dish servings are sizeable)
The shop is a small cute no frills affair with polite staff and quick service. The takoyaki balls here are a must order and up there with the best I’ve ever had!
Gluten free options were numerous and delicious. We ordered several dishes just to try out the food because we dont often find gluten free Japanese food....especially gluten free tempura. Portion size was great. Taste was delicious. We enjoyed it all! Service was A+. Highly recommend this place. Dont miss it. It is located on a quiet side road of the Brixton market.
The food was delicious. Good variety of vegetarian options. The vege udon noodles and avocado n cucumber maki were lovely. It would be great if there was a bit of a salad in our curry rice but definitely we will come back.
A small independently run hidden gem. Some of the dishes are on the menu to cater to the locals (I would give those a miss) but if you go for Japanese dishes you won’t be disappointed - they are delicious and have a very Japanese-home-cooked feel to it. I’ll definitely be back!
Don't be put off by the decor and sterile canteen look of it!
Have walked past this place so many times being slightly put off by the lack of atmosphere and decor, but finally stopped to eat here and can't believe what I've been missing! Fresh, clean, hot tasty food - the best agedashi tofu I've had in London, great sweet miso aubergine and decent ramen.. The ramen could be improved enormously it's true, but the basics are there to build upon. Service was very good.
I would love them to sort the look of the place out so it has more 'curb appeal' and with that more people visiting and more investment in some great food. It could be a real gem.
One of my favourite places to eat in Brixton Village, Curry Ono serves authentic, delicious Japanese food at a great price and this is some of the best Chicken Katsu curry I've had in London. We went on a Friday night with a large group and the staff were more than happy to make room for us inside the restaurant, though they also have some tables outside. They also have a big selection of sake which was a perfect post dinner drink.
