We have been to this restaurant many times since we live closeby. The restaurant is quite basic in terms of decor but very clean. The food here is really good. Would recommend the seafood and kerala specialty dishes!
Would've given 5 stars but deducting one for the decor.
Definitely recommend this place.
Very nice south Indian food . Staff are very friendly . Menu prices are reasonable . We always go there for weekends and special occasions. Kerala lunch was execellent
My husband and I went with out fussy children. We ordered several dishes all abs delicious. My fish molee was so coconutty perfect to be mopped up with egg appam. My son really enjoyed his devilled seafood and lassi. Awesome ...definitely worth a visit!
This one in East ham had the best chicken fry I ever had in the UK. An authentic Kerala restaurant which is very rare in this country.
I tried their ananthapuram special biriyani which had both mutton and chicken which was also good. I won't say they are serving the best biriyani. But when compared to every other so-called authentic Indian biriyani I had tried in this country, this one was a decent one.
Will be visiting the place again to try more dishes. Service was good. Ambience was average.
Nadan chicken fry is the must try item.since i left Kerala this is the best one that i had in uk. Excepting for a better toilet and hand wash area in future.
One of the Indian restaurant located in East Ham. The theme of this restaurant is related to Trivandrum ,Kerala. We had lunch from there & was a great experience. Good food with affordable prices in London is an amazing deal. Nadan Chicken fry is most recommended dish. You will love it.
If any one missing kerala food just come and eat, it’s little harder to find out a parking space
All items we ordered were fantastic and incredibly good value for money! There really wasn't a single "meh" dish, let alone a bad one. Each one could have been the main item of dinner.
Highly recommend the netholi fish fry, nadan chicken, avoli fish fry, and mutton kurma. They were all perfectly done. Everything else was also delicious but are good in most other places too.
The only reason they lost a star was because they didn't have a lot of items on the menu. Though I don't mind a more restricted menu if it means all the food is consistently this delicious!
Will definitely be coming back again!
It was my second visit and was not dissapointed as usual, tried porotta beef fry, chicken 65, chicken roast and nethooli fry. I liked the crispnes of nethooli fry. We reached there almost at the closing time, even then the porotta was hot and fluffy. A must try place for all authentic kerala food lovers
Best in the town for South Indian, 'Kerala' food. Authentic Kerala food such as beef fry, chicken curry, fish & vegetable curry s. Beverages are available including hot drinks. Three minutes walk from the East Ham train station.
The food is tasty and they do have a fair variety of dishes.
The downside is :
1)They don't provide water unless it is mineral water or any other beverage which adds to your bill.
2)The Toilet and the hand washing area seem to be specially designed and maintained in order to create a feeling of nostalgia(IYKWIM).
3)The large general waste container just in front of the Restaurant which should not be there. When the door opens and the wind blows in, it brings in an unpleasant smell.
Comparatively best mallu food and flavors.
The atmosphere is not so great but average! Service attitude is comparatively not good with other Indian shops in the area.
More suites friends/ groups of people, not so family friendly but indeed they can.
Good choice of food options and very good service.
Some were better tasting to others.
The fried Nethali was excellent, the parotta and fish curry was good but the fish might have been frozen.
The puttu wasn't very good, felt rather powdery and possibly made with desiccated coconut.
