Well, I had my birthday party here on Saturday 2nd June 2018- invited approx 25 members of my family and close friends from north and south London. They know a good African restaurant or two, and we had a great time here.
Started off a bit rocky because Nigeria was playing a friendly with England so the room was packed but once the match was over, we, more, or less, were given privacy. The food was sumptuous, the variety of dishes ranged from the starters of meatpies and freshly-fried puff puff, to the buffet of fresh fish, jollof rice, white rice, aya mase, beans and plantain, stewed chicken, pounded yam and spinach vegeable. There was more than enough for everyone. Service was a bit hit and miss at times, but it was always service with a smile from the ladies that served us. K and his Mrs did make my birthday special at a very reasonable price. To top it all, he gave me a surprise birthday treat to make up for the rocky start. Although relatively new to the scene compared to other big name African eateries, I strongly recommend that you pay a visit, if only to try the beans which is my personal favourite and highly recommended. A trial will convince you to keep going back for more.
