Brilliant addition to Herne Hill... Lovely decor, nice seating area outside, helpful, polite staff and amazing cocktails, although be warned, it's a little on the pricey side... I loved the Espresso Martini. Thoroughly recommended!
Had a very strong rum punch, and as they were not serving food we were allowed to eat our own food on the outside tables. Quiet Thursday. Lovely evening to people watch and listen to jazz band playing outside another establishment.

GPL has just introduced a new burger menu which has pairing suggestions for beer. I went on Sunday 04/09/22 and had the Japanese, I.E. a chicken Pattie with katsu marinade. Now, I normally avoid chicken burgers because they are always invariably dry and tasteless. Well, this was the exact opposite! It was so juicy, the marinade had clearly seeped well into the meat. It was outstanding! I don’t do beer, so I paired mine with a pale rosé. Sublime😘😘😘 The price-point is fair for the quality on offer. I will be go back soon to try the other burger selections!
The team are putting an outstanding COVID-19 food and drink service! Excellent streak sandwiches and a variation of wraps and great coffees and fresh fruit juices! Recommended!!
I’ve been looking for a great Thai ever since my favourite in Wandsworth closed down due to it’s lovely Thai owners retiring.
I just found it and it totally hits the spot!
We had a perfectly crunchy, spicy papaya salad, always a tell-tale for a proper Thai restaurant. Delicious fresh dumplings. Tasty pork stir-fry and a lovely, balanced curry.
Nice cocktails, good selection of Asian beers and friendly staff. Say Hello to the Thai mother-daughter team running the kitchen, it’s as authentic as you can get outside of Thailand.

Easily the best Thai food I have had in Europe - in fact, the last time I had Thai food this tasty was in Bangkok. We were a table of five and had a broad selection of everything and it was all authentically. Thai and delicious. And the service was sublime! Let's support this local and make it a success.
Had a great experience here recently. High standard of Thai food (including a great papaya salad) and good value. Fairly small portions but they were great and used real Thai ingredients (been to Thailand several times). We’ll certainly be back to try it again.
Definitively a good experience with Thai food in Herne Hill, I had the Pai Thai (noddles) with pork and was delicious, my Gf, had the Gang Kiew Wan (Green curry) which she found rather sweet, but the prank crackers were super good and fresh and we had some delicious dumplings as starters. Lovely seating outside and superb service. We will come again!!
Great Food, tasty and spicy! , lovely service from Monika and an excellent chef Thanya! Recommend the Satay and the Massaman, oh and the green curry. Our local has recently changed management and dropped in standards, the Green Parrot has really stepped into the need for an excellent Thai.
I live in Herne Hill and love the food in Green Parrott. It’s local so I always come down to the restaurant to eat (not take away) and it’s really really good home cooked Thai food. Would highly recommend for a quick dinner on way home from work or when you don’t want to cook. Nice to sit indoors our outdoors, although extraction of cooking smells could be better!!
