Hackney seems devoid of Cafe's that open before 10am. Mare street cafe opens at 7.30am and is a great spot to take a break. Good coffee and can recommend their omelettes too.

I was early for work and couldn't access the building I needed. So I had a quick look for a coffee and a small bite to eat and spotted this little cafe.
It was fairly quiet for a Monday morning, which was a surprise.
I had just a coffee and croissant with cannelloni. Both were fresh and tasted great.
The price was reasonable, considering I would have paid almost twice as much at most mainstream brands for a coffee alone.

Great little cafe in Hackney. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I had an omelette with chips and salad which was yummy! And they also do 10% off for NHS!

This is our family’s favourite caff. The staff are so lovely and the food is yummy. My son O wanted me to say that “this place is the BEST and I love it so much. The chips are PERFECT!”
