We are here on the first night of opening, the food were definitely not the one of best Jason Atherton's restaurants that I have been to. My friends ordered the turbot to share, but size of the fish didn't match what the waiter has described earlier and what the menu said. My friend was very determined to find out what was the portion size of the fish, we insisted to speak to the chef, after a few times of trying, we finally got to talk to the head chef and they admitted that the menu description was wrong. The restaurant did take the dish off the bill which put some good points back to our experience tonight. The Victoria sponge was good though. The service from the manager was good.
I was fortunate enough to attend a soft opening here on Saturday 14th Sept.
The restaurant is set in Mayfair and does not disappoint in keeping with the class of this area. All the staff are dressed beautifully, with the gents all in custom fitted suits which set the trend thought the whole venue. The cocktails are fabulous, we had a ornate american as well as others which was cleverly decorated as Donald Trump!
Now to the food, the Executive Chief Paul Walsh who was the michelin star chef at City Social, has moved to the Betterment and brings his genius with him. Starters where full of flavour, nice and light. I had the tomahawk steak for main which was cooked beautifully with various sides. All our food did not disappoint and I can see big things happening here!
Outside eating is also available which is rare to find in this part of town. All in all a 10/10 experience from the venue, staff, drinks and of course the food!
This Betterment is a must to try and will not disappoint!
This is the best restaurant in London, a new found land for epicurean! Highest quality of food with sophisticated taste, presentation and services! The General Manager Arthur Ho is a magician with knows how to create best experiences to guests! Amazing!
Lovely new restaurant in Mayfair. Their cocktail list is good. Especially like the Dill of the Decade drink. For starters, highly recommend the raw scallops and beef tartare. As for main, love the turbot. Pork is ok but nothing too special about it. Victorian sponge cake for dessert is delicious! Will definitely go back to the Betterment again.
Newly opened restaurant (opened on 19 Sept). It is within the also newly opened Biltmore Mayfair Hotel. The atmosphere is trendy. The service is very good. The food is a safe bet (I tried the scallops, sea bass and chocolate tart - which I highly recommend to try). They have a heated outside area which was very pleasant during dinner time.
Food was good, but perhaps a tad safe. Portion sizes fair, service good. Wine markups high but perhaps to be expected. 4.0-4.5/5.
Delicious Christmas lunch. Excellent service. Relaxed ambience. Highly recommended.
Lovely restaurant
Very nice and helpful staff
Delicious food 😋
The Betterment staff have proper looked after me.
We’ve eaten here 2 nights in a row for one reason or another. My steak was average on night one but every meal since then, including breakfast has been astounding!
Again, special mention to the staff. Outstanding!!!
Outstanding service from all staff, high quality food. Afternoon tea was beautiful... crab and citrus sandwiches were lovely. A kids menu was offered to my son which was great. A cosy and relaxing atmosphere perfect for the weekend!
