Experience of this pub has been variable over the years, but with changes in the management, and refurbishment in the past couple of years it is a pleasant place to meet up in the early evening. Earlier in the day it is good to catch sports, and as it gets later the music gets louder, so at different times of day it will appeal to a different segment of the local people. Definitely a local community pub, no matter what time you are there.
