Amazing food, very very delicious! We tried the Mixed Tempura Bento Box, Sushi Lover Sushi Set, Edamame, and Mixed Sashimi (15 slices chef selection) and everything was very tasty and fresh. Great value, reasonable prices and most importantly: the hostess was so incredibly nice and patient, she made our visit so enjoyable and memorable! We didn't get her name, but we hope the owners let her know how much we value our experience at Doumo because of her.

During our recent visit to Doumo Japanese Restaurant, our experience was a mixture of hits and misses, leaving us with ambivalent sentiments. Starting with the cornerstone of any reputable Japanese establishment: the sushi. Unfortunately, Doumo's offerings were somewhat lackluster in freshness. When sushi fails to convey that just-caught essence, it's inevitably a disappointment. On a brighter note, the other dishes we sampled had their merits. The Yaki Soba with chicken, while not groundbreaking, was reliably satisfying. The Salmon Teriyaki, too, managed to hold its own - offering a decent taste, if not memorable. Navigating a menu can be challenging without informed recommendations, and this is where we found another hiccup. When soliciting advice from our waitress about choosing between ramen and yaki soba, her response - a vague and slightly confusing dichotomy of "salty or watery" - left much to be desired. Such guidance was not particularly helpful. However, it's worth noting that she radiated friendliness throughout our meal, which somewhat compensated for her earlier lapse. Addressing the matter of cost, Doumo's pricing felt slightly elevated given the overall quality of the food. The age-old equation of value for money didn't quite add up in this instance. In summary, Doumo Japanese Restaurant provided a generally pleasant experience, though it had its fair share of shortcomings. It might not be our first choice for sushi aficionados, but for a relaxed meal in a friendly environment, it's a viable option.

Just simply superb. Very straight forward with interestingly in your face service, but will become a firm fave.

We were very hungry and tired and found this little sushi gem, it was nowhere near as expensive as nearby sushi restaurants and was in central London. There was a big selection of food. We liked the waiter a lot, he was very friendly. There was not much music and find that a bit uncomfortable at times but we would definitely go back if we found ourselves in London again. Thanks very much. They were more than friendly and very helpful. Service was top notch.

I ate Gyoza and won! Not only because I participated in the little promotion, but because the Gyoza and my noodles were all quite tasty. Duomo was a happy accident of discovery for my wife and I when we stepped off the bus one stop too early. We decided to make this our impromptu date spot. The space was clean but tight, and cozy is definitely the right word for it. A local corner eatery that seems happy to be serving parties of one and twos. You're not coming here because the food is super authentic or it's super high end, but it's comfortable when you want a night-bite away from your flat or you want to some mild impressing of a date with something a little different. The menu is largely Japanese with some other "pan Asian favorites"--and is easily two steps better than "mass market Japanese chain found everywhere" food. Bonus, the staff is friendly and the toiles are clean. Also, you can try the Gyoza, and maybe you'll win a cute pen. I'd certainly come in to eat (and play) again.

Nice stop for lunch. Quick, tasty Japanese food. Salmon Teriyaki Bento Box was v good, filling and cheap (on the lunch menu) Edamame was a let down though. It was like it has been microwaved and had lost most of it's texture! Miso soup was delicious and warming. All in all a good experience. Prices were really good on the lunch menu, as a student I really appreciated the price compared to portion size! Service was impatient but not rude. It didn't really hinder my lunch, just not a chatty server.
