Michaels Bbq Kitchen

I wish I had the restraint to take a photo to add to this, but having read a few of the other reviews before going I was too keen to get stuck in. One mouthful and I knew I'd definitely made the right choice, this is perfectly cooked BBQ. I had the oxtail, which was really tender and just fell away from the bone but had so much flavour from the wood that had been selected for it and was still juicy. 100% will be going back for more.

I'm a man who loves cooking, and until recently considered myself something of a Don on the BBQ, UNTIL NOW! Quite simply, Michael does the best BBQ Ive tasted EVER! the other night I went there late to grab a bite, we ordered the brisket and BBQ pork belly, as a favour Michael gave me the last two bits off the rack of lamb. I can only describe those lamb chops as an epiphany, juicy, succulent and with a subtle wood smoked flavour you just can't fake. The guy is a genius, and it's so clear he loves what he does. Try the lamb chops, try the brisket, the pork belly, try the oxtail, it's all mind blowingly good. I'm recommending this place to everybody I know who loves BBQ, because it's that good. Go there, try it, prepare to be amazed, this guy is a magician!

One of the most amazing things about Mike's BBQ is his unassuming, modest, welcoming character. He is a Shaolin Monk when it comes to cooking with smoke! One of the most skillful cooks I have had the pleasure of experiencing. I am fan of his on Instagram so when myself and my wife decided to travel from Luton to experience his wears, I was filled with giddy anticipation. Oh man was I not disappointed. He was the most gracious host, sharing his experiences and his vision without any reservation. We were instantly made comfortable as we eagerly awaited the culinary delights he was bringing our way. During our visit we experienced, smoked goat, smoked oxtail, smoked lamb chops, jerk chicken, jerk pork, belly pork sticky pepper bites and sliced smoked lamb leg! WOW! It was all about the meat. This was simply accompanied by some rice and peas and a combination of jerk sauces or mango sauce. Delicious. There was a moment when my wife and I tasted our first mouthful of the smoked lamb and we looked at one another in silence understanding that we were now experiencing the most tender, most tasty, perfectly cooked melt in your mouth lamb that we had ever tasted. It was exquisite and other worldly. Everything we sampled was worthy of royalty. We are already planning our return as it was worth the drive and worth double of what we paid. Trust me if you are a meat lover, get your butt down there now!
