Outstanding food and service; everything we ordered at St Clair was perfect. Here’s what I would order again - and recommend trying if it’s your first time there: - Nikkei Mochi Cheese Bread - Seared Tuna Tataki - St Clair’s Pot Roast Fish Stew - dozen of the oysters combo If they have the tres leches dessert, definitely get it. It was the best version of it I’ve tried. Thank you to Sven for being amazing, excellent recommendations, and a great experience :)

I loved the atmosphere here. Its quite and chill so you can really enjoy your company and food which was exceptional. I highly recommend you to try the whole baked seabass and the oysters. The St Clair pot is great as well if you like soup dishes.

Amazing place to have a dinner for a special occasion. We had the fish soup, crab salad, half dozen of oysters, half lobster and their tasty cheescake and banana split cookie. The quality of the food was really top level and well presented. I would add more options in the white wine list, but the bottle we had was really good anyway. I am giving 5 starts since I will go back for sure the great food experience we had!

Superb seafood spot This place was simply divine. The location was spot on, just off Clapham Common and the interior design was chic and unpretentious. The wine selection was also just right with great white wine pairings to go with any choice of seafood on the menu. I ordered the mackermole dish to start followed by the sea bass and both were absolutely fantastic! I mean for this place to have only opened in January 2020 (I know, great timing right) and has kept under the radar for so long, it’s a miracle. Thank me later once you have tried the sea bass 😃🎉🎊

It was so unfortunate that this fab place opened and COVID hit, but I must write about the integrity, service and positive attitude this restaurant has brought to us the locals during this difficult times. I was buying produce or eggs from Bertrand in the early COVID days (they were trying quickly to adapt) and at one point St Clair were my only "outside the family" decent conversation all day, but now one can also buy amazing fish and seafood to carry off. Today I bought some freshly shucked oysters and a glass of champagne from them and went and had it at Clapham Common. They have a deal oyster plus proper bubbles for £9.90 - a treat in this summer weather! Jude, Bertrand's son, in the meantime kept my langostines and baby squid cold; to collect later and bbq at home. I loved that they serve it to you in paper boxes not plastic! Funny, positive, caring family business, selling fantastically fresh seafood. We will do all we can to frequent and support them on their reopening! Merci beaucoup!

I dined at St Clair for the 2nd time on Friday entertaining a visiting friend. We had a lovely time. The elegant ambience, decor and delicious dishes make it such a memorable experience and my friend was so impressed. The waiting staff are very attentive, the table settings are lovely and an impressive wine list. We had a selection of dishes, all well presented, great flavours and so delicious. We had the mochi cheese bread, ceviche platter, tuna tataki (my favourite!) to start and for mains Moqueca and a whole fish of the day Sea Bass in the most delicious lemon & herb dressing and cooked to perfection. A delicious Rioja and Mochi trio to finish. Looking forward to breakfast there next week.

Extensive brunch menu with a nice atmosphere. It's quite formal but the waiting staff are really friendly. Dish was quite small but was very tasty! Want to come back here for lunch/dinner.

We came here for a late lunch on Saturday. And WOW. This is exactly what Clapham needed - we had oysters and a range of dishes for mains - which were all cooked and presented perfectly. We'll definitely be back again soon!

I just happened upon this place in a semi-open state after months of it being boarded up for a refurb. I popped in to check it out and I’m very happy to say that despite the newness and things not being fully up and running yet, the service and the food were top notch. The wine list also looks great as do the hot dishes I’m going to go back and try ASAP. They have some great ideas for the other aspects of the business which I think will take Clapham Common by storm 😉 Can’t wait to go back! Edit: I went back for a full on dinner. Anyone who can make a humble potato or lettuce taste as good as these guys deserves an award. Don’t even get me started on the main dishes and the wine. It’s everything I’d hoped for and more. Food this good is sadly far too rare in S London, which only makes St Clair stand out even more.

Just went there today for lunch and it was incredible! Prosecco is lovely, the crab cake and brunch daily special to die for and to finish it off the Mont Blanc. Unbelievable ! Also had a little taster of the “Japanese Limoncello” & coffee. Beautiful. A must in Clapham.
