Slapfish

My friend has been raving about this place and I'm so glad that I finally got to try it. If you ever have a craving for seafood, Slapfish is definitely the spot. The Irvine location did a great job of modifying the space to encourage social distancing. There are stickers on the ground to indicate where to stand and a table is in front of the cashier for physical distancing and keeping everyone safe. Food: Chowder Fries - It was exactly as expected! Delicious chowder ontop of fresh, crispy fries. If your food comes with fries already, I would recommend getting a side of Chowder rather than an entire order of Chowder Fries. It seems like the individual portion of Chowder is also more than the amount that comes with the Chowder Fries. Lobster Taquitos - Honestly, this appetizer blew me away. From looking at photos, it looked like it would be overly greasy and tough. The taquito was honestly so light and the punchy sauces helped brighten it up. Would definitely get this again! Fish and Chips - The fish batter had such a satisfying crunch! The portion of fish is so big and satisfying. Their tartar sauce was okay; it was a bit too watery for my preference. Also, the container the sauce came in was comically small compared to the fish. Clobster Grilled Cheese - The portion of filling to bread was on-point. I also enjoyed how soft the bread was. I opted for the side salad and I was not sure if they forgot the vinaigrette or if it was just lightly dressed. The salad was a refreshing side for the heaviness that was the grilled cheese. PS: Ask for some extra Old Bay on the side.

Some great fish taco for sure! Had a lunch with what the chef recommended and ended up with a fish taco and some fries. It was maybe a bit too much food for a lunch for me, but it was indeed great. The taco had some amazing flavours and the fish itself was perfectly cooked! Great spot for a meal if you're in central Camden!

I received the best service from Ivo and chef Collins #legend !! The food was 11 out of 10, so fresh and flavourful I had the shrimp roll, melted chicken wrap and Globster grilled cheese and I honestly recommend ! These tasted so good I'm due to try the whole menu! The videos I've taken don't do the food any justice. Its a shame the resturant isn't situated near Camden market because it's literally a hidden gem but I will be back and telling everyone about it

Best place for fish and chips in Camden! Prices aren't cheap but are reasonable for what you're getting. They have traditional fish and chips with a variety of white fish that they happen to have fresh that day. They also have more American influenced food like fish tacos, shrimp burritos, chowder and lobster rolls. Staff here are very friendly and happy to recommend should you find the choice in fish overwhelming. I have a bit of an allergy to crustaceans, and when I was there, I was told the oil they use for cooking the chips is also used to cook prawns, I decided to take the chance, knowing my allergy to prawns isn't too severe and I was fine. If you have any kind of allergies, just ask the staff here and they should be as helpful to you as they were to me. Also, the deep fried pickles here are heavenly!

This place was nothing short of an amazing discovery! We were actually planning to have a kebab before a show at the Underworld; however, my boyfriend noticed a sign that said "poke" and since I love it, pointed it out. It was a no-brainer to go in, but I did not expect to find way more of my favourite things inside! (Lobster Roll, anyone?) The place is impeccable and design is super cool (loved the logo!) and the staff is super friendly. Although I do not go to Camden that often, I'll make a point of coming back when in the area. Don't miss out on this gem!

Went there on a Tuesday, and almost (had to stop myself) went there last night as well. New place just next to Camden Town station, and it is so good. The shrimp roll was amazing, stuffed with shrimp and a two hander of a sandwich. Seems to be the first outpost outside of the US, and I'm glad its here. Price was good, £8 for the sandwich and fries which is more than enough. Well it would have been but I got the Lobster Taquitos as well. These had a good amount of lobster and were saucy and tasty. Everything made fresh to order, really can't complain about any of it!

Pretty new to Camden - I only noticed them today after a night out with friends after work a couple of does down from Camden Town station. Because it was after 8, I was lucky to get the fish taco for just £4.95. two big tacos, really fresh and tasty. I'll definitely be back to try out what else is on the menu... Especially if I've been out drinking!!!!
