I popped into Ed Baker a couple of weeks ago and am now officially addicted to their sourdough bread. It is very tasty, crunchy and you taste the love that went into it. I will deffo come back for more. Also, the baker is very easy on the eye and super charming!

Amazing place, Ed was kind enough to share some of his sourdough starter with me. I also had a delicious black pudding sausage roll. Highly recommended.

I bought a loaf of sourdough bread (£5) which is absolutely lovely. Ed was very friendly. Places like this bakery are wonderful for building a sense of community in the area. I will definitely be coming back!

We have tried Ed’s amazing natas before at the Catford Food Market and had heard lots about his bakery - we went for the first time today and we were not disappointed! We had the sausage rolls and quiche - absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to go back. We are really lucky to have such a lovely bakery locally. 100% recommend!

Such a delicious bakery would highly recommend. Ed is there early each morning freshly baking his bread and other goods. I tried the new marmite and cheese swirl today, totally delicious.

Whether you looking for savory treats, bread or even pampering yourself with something sweet, Ed’s is your go to! All products are baked with high quality and care. On one of my visits to the bakery, I was invited by the aroma of these lemon drizzle cakes, and yes they are addictive! You can also find some of the authentic artisinal products like honey, thyme and others. I highly recommend Ed’s bakery for your daily purchases!

I recently visited Ed Baker - Artisan Bakery and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the baked goods were delicious. The breads and pastries were all made with care and attention to detail, and each one was flavorful and moist. I enjoyed the selection of specialty items, such as the chocolate croissants and the almond croissants. The cakes were also delicious, with each one being perfectly prepared and decorated. Overall, I had a great experience at Ed Baker - Artisan Bakery and I will definitely be back for more.

I've been visiting a friend in Hither Green and stumbled upon Ed's lovely bakery just poking around on Google Maps for a nibble to eat between work calls. Thank goodness I did, as I have now been back thrice in one week and hope to return once or twice more before my visit is over. From the moment I walked in, Ed was so warm and kind, explaining to me how he ended up choosing the life of a baker and some of the delicious goodies around the shop. For example, I was originally drawn to another Google reviewer's photo of the beetroot loaf, which Ed then explained to me uses only roasted beetroot juice instead of water in the dough. I'll have to bring one of these home to the states! Everything is delicious, and Ed makes a point of keeping some items consistently and some are new every day. I was so excited to see pasteis de nata being sold, as these are one of my favorite treats, and I struggle to find them anywhere outside of Portugal. I have also tried the vegan feta pastry, the lemon drizzle, meat and potato pastry, sausage roll without onion, and quiche Lorraine. All have been incredible! Ed also explained to me that he is very particular about the products and the shop itself. He uses basil to ward off flies from the products, rather than chemicals, and he chooses his ingredients very intentionally. For example, in his vegan feta pastry, he uses a vegan feta that is extremely well-regarded by folks who follow a vegan diet. Only the best! My friend hasn't explored her own neighborhood as much as she wants to, and I (and Ed's delicious bites!) have thoroughly convinced her to at least start supporting Ed Baker. With the homemade goods, as well as the beverages and pantry goods that he also sells, it is the perfect place to stop before a picnic in a nearby park. Cheers Ed! A fantastic neighborhood spot.

Real artisan bread. Made without any additives, not from “frozen”. Taste the difference! After meeting Ed on the market we knew that we will chase him 😂 - his products are way too tasty to compromise and buy “smth else” Our top favorites quiches (“say no to scramble eggs that are sold like quiche” ©) - having them at least once a week. Such a help - amazing meal for a family. And if you’re lucky, there maybe going to be one day Croustades aux Pommes or Mille Feuille 🤤 Thanks, Ed! Heartily recommend ♥️

I picked up all this deliciousness from Ed Baker earlier today. Such a wonderful addition to Hither Green. Do yourself a favour and go and get your self some incredible bread from Eddy in the new year. I even walked straight past two places I could have bought sourdough loaves on my way there. So it must be good!
