The gyros were good, the chicken one tasted a lot better than the port one. Pork seemed a little dry for my taste.

customer service was great but not sure about the portion sizes. Especially the quantity of chips they give.

Ordered from Deliveroo and it arrived beautifully packed. My partner and I ordered the bundle for 2 and some pitanuts for dessert and were full!
We would have liked the chicken pitas to have a lot more sauce as they were both quite dry. We ordered an extra portion of chips but the bundle’s portion would have been enough. My partner liked the chips but I would have liked them to be hot and fresh and not so dry.
Pitanuts are delicious so definitely order these :)
Smashing Plates has flavorful and fresh Mediterranean food.
One standout item on the menu is the chicken wrap which I order often, it is bursting with flavor and made with the freshest ingredients. The tender chicken is perfectly seasoned, I usually get this in a wrap, making for a delicious and satisfying meal on the go. The pitanuts are a moreish dessert.
But what really sets Smashing Plates apart is the exceptional staff, led by the wonderful Dani. Despite being in a market stall, the team still provides warm and attentive service that makes you feel like a valued customer.

Quality little takeaway gyros restaurant in Tooting Market, a little on the steep side price-wise, but worth it in my opinion. There is rarely any seating next to the restaurant, but Tooting Market has a large bank of tables in the centre, so if you'd like a sit down meal, food can be eaten here.
First time in Tooting Market and ended up at Smashing Plates on their opening day! We had all the food! Perfect gyros (chicken, pork and lamb 🤤), really recommend the moussaka mac & cheese! Charming team! Must try ✌🏼
We used Deliveroo to try this for the first time. It was cold when it arrived but after a brief spell in the oven it was great. I didn’t think my chicken souvlaki was going to fill me up…boy was I wrong! My husband’s oregano fries crisped up beautifully too. 5 stars were it not for having to reheat. Great to have you near!
