Well I've been drinking in this pub from the day it opened to its final day of trading today. 1st October 2023.
Such found memories and a true shame that this pub is going, a public house that has served this community well.

Been here many times, always a great cheap and cheerful place to go. Love the food specially with the free drink. Myself and my friends are absolutely gutted it's closing down at the end of the month

Soild menus good beers and friendly efficient staff. Will be missed if it closes in the coming months as its a convenient lunch stop for that end of town

Called in on a very wet very busy Wednesday there was ten of us and we managed to get seating on the upper tier.
Bar and waiting staff attentive and polite.
The food came out in good time and was very good.
Definitely worth a revisit at some point.

Could have been a 5 but a few let downs. The mixed grill I ordered was excellent. Hot, even the peas and cooked the way I like. The steak was medium which wouldn't suit everyone. My still water was served with ice and lemon. Nice one. The let down was the non-arrival of my side. You get a choice with this meal and I ordered salad. I concede that the large mixed grill was sufficient but sides should be served. Also I was not offered sauces nor told where to serve myself (if that was an option). Overall enjoyable. I recommend and will go again.
