Iconic

Visited yesterday as a family of 6 including two adults and 4 children. The location is hard to find, you need to turn left and keep turning left until you are outside it, you will think it's a path for pedestrians but no you keep going and eventually find spaces right outside the window. Our waitress was Sophy, such a lovely person, funny and happy all the way through. The bar is really cool with stylish interior, walls full of bubbles, floor to ceiling glass looking out to sea and nicely dressed tables. An immaculately clean highchair was there as well which is a first. Husband had the lamb shank that fell off the bone, he said it was the best he had ever eaten. I had prawn and crayfish with side salad and chips, onion rings and coleslaw (onion rings were an extra side) and it was well presented, tasty and a good sized portion. Children had sausages, chips and veg, prawn cocktail with caviar (and actually liked it lol), kids meals included a drink and ice cream. Every plate was clean at the end, that's a first for us eating out as the kids usually don't like something. The puddings were the usual run of the mill shop bought stuff so they weren't as good as the main but all in all we loved the vibe, the decor and the effort. Bill was £80 for 2 adult meals, a starter as a main, 2 sides, 2 kids meals and desserts all round. Tables were cleared promptly, nothing was too much trouble and Sophy was lovely to the children as well as us. I feel she's an asset to the company and I hope management see this review There was only one negative and that's the really restricted drinks menu. They only have lemonade or coke, and only one type of cider (strongbow)!!!!

Had a lovely meal with family last night, love the interior! The only downside was it took ages to get served once seated and had to call a waitress over. 5/7 of us had the '3 Steps to Heaven' which was huge! My mum had the steak and kidney pudding (the biggest one I've ever seen) I didn't get a pic but she enjoyed it, the gravy was lovely...i had the sweet chilli salmon which was yummy, the veg and potatoes were okay but could have done with a bit of butter 😆 but overall I'd recommend this place for the steak grills and interior!

We got lucky with a table as they were fully booked later in the lunch service. Service is warm and friendly. Food is very good, with large portions. We had mains and dessert (for the kids) and coffee. All very good. Interior is a bit funky, and different in a good way. Liked it very much overall.

Great vibe, whoever designed the decoration had good taste and used some flashy elements from the dining area to the bathrooms. Great food and drinks (we had cocktails), generous portions, very friendly service and good value. What else can you ask for?
