We enjoyed an outstanding meal at Millside for my dad’s 70th birthday. The food was comfortably the best we’ve had in a very long time, and it was matched by the exemplary service. We also loved the relaxed atmosphere and music, especially the Rolling Stones track the waitress put on for my dad to accompany his ‘Brown Sugar Meringue’ dessert. Faultless!

We arrived early for our reservation, but seated promptly. It was early in the evening so we had the restaurant to ourselves, which was lucky as we have a noisy toddler in tow. The lady serving us, Gemma was very helpful and friendly. We decided to go with the seafood platter to share and other sides. There was a children's menu available, but the boys also enjoy seafood so they had bits from our platter as well as chips and garlic bread. Food was lovely and service was friendly. We did wonder however for a sharing platter for 2, there should have been a crab each. The substituted curried mussels over the anchovies were a little disappointing as we didn't quite enjoy the flavour. Overall it was a lovely experience.

Wonderful little restaurant. John is very welcoming and friendly. I had one of the best fish dishes I think I have ever had (and I eat a lot of fish), sea bream cooked en papillote with couscous, so tasty. Good selection of wines. Smallish restaurant, we ate early at 6.15 and by 7.30 it was pretty much full. Well worth booking if you like fish.

We came to Millside for dinner on our last night in Lyme Regis and definitely saved the best for last. We loved everything - the food, the service, the wine, the ambience. We left on a complete high! I also particularly liked that the children's menu was a proper menu, and not just basic junk food (the mussels were for my 5 year old).

My wife and I had dinner here this evening (first time returning since September last year), and just like the last time everything was amazing. Very friendly and attentive service without being overbearing. Fish for the main course was absolutely outstanding, fresh and creatively served to make a really tasty meal. Couldn’t fault any part of it; even the small touches like fresh flower decorations on the table make all the difference to the experience.

Really laid back atmosphere to sit and enjoy well cooked, prepared, and presented food. Service was brilliant, really considerate of our infant school aged child, and helpful in selecting from the wine menu to suit our tastes. The food was fantastic with some stand out experiences from the tempura oysters down to the pickled rhubarb.

This was our best meal whilst we stayed in Lyme Regis! Fantastic menu, food and service. Located close to the water mill it was nice being amongst the creative quarter of the town. The food was fresh and delicious. If you are planning on going then you need to book in order to ensure you get a spot!

Loved the place. Gemma was a star. Great food, service and dogs welcome. They even went next door to the neighbouring brewery's craft beers to go above & beyond. Love Derek ❤️

Fantastic place ! We had the most beautiful meal here on Friday evening. We had amazing oysters ,Turbot with crushed curried potatoes and whole sea bass with an incredible smoky veg side. I have eaten in some of the best restaurants and I have to say this is up there with them. Great wine selection too. Service was sooo friendly and all the staff were amazing. Unfortunately when we were there someone was complaining very loudly …. Was quite funny as they had exactly what we had. They were so obnoxious and were complaining about nothing - ie you have not filleted my fish (this was on the menu as ‘whole sea bass’). The owner said that she did not want paying for the meal - I don’t think had come across such rudeness before. They handled these obnoxious difficult ult. customers in the kindest best way they could - I think I would not have been so polite !! Well done everyone at the Millside - you were amazing in every way. ❤️
