Excellent venue. The gallery is a good space with frequent exhibitions and the attached museum is very interesting. The cafe serves a good range of drinks, cakes and light lunch items. Staff are very friendly.

The museum and art gallery is small but worth a visit to learn the history of Lymington and surrounding areas. The cafe is delightful and service is excellent. Tried the lentil daal soup, it didn't disappoint and is very well priced. Highly recommended cafe in Lymington.

Such a lovely attractive well designed museum and art gallery. It so near a large car park and also a long stay car park and close to the high street. We saw the current exhibition of women artists some of whom painted'wartime scenes. But the delight too is their cafe with really friendly staff and the most delicious coffee. So nice we bought some of their coffee beans too. Forget the coffee chains and enjoy it here . We visiting Lymington again today and will revisit there for coffee.

My Daughter and I had a lovely afternoon in Lymington visiting the St Barbe museum. Well presented exhibits showing off the history of Lymington and surrounding villages. It was great to see the mock up of a patrol boat on display, I guided the apprentices in the painting of it during my time at Berthon boat yard. The Art gallery had some wonderful pieces, the most memorable was entitled, The problem with plastic in the sea (Guillemot autopsy) by Lesley Banks.

Fascinating exhibition of wood engraving. The skill, imagination, finesse and detail are astounding. The museum displays have been updated since my last visit, and show some intriguing aspects of local history. Well laid out, informative and enjoyable.

Really good museum. I went for the Denizens of Discworld exhibition which was great and was surprised by how incredible the Polish paper craft was. The main museum was also fantastic, full of history and detailed local acounts. A hidden gem, I really recommend it!

I've been a couple of times to St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery whilst on holiday. The museum is quite small, but has some interesting items. The gallery is very good. A great space with some very good exhibitions. The cafe is really good too. There's also a gift shop and tourist information centre.

Contains a small local history museum, an art gallery with changing themes throughout the year, a cafe with both inside and outside seating, a gift shop and brochures covering other attractions, etc in the local area. Disabled access friendly. There is a small charge to visit the museum and art gallery.
