Georgian Tea Rooms

I treated my Mum to their afternoon tea whilst I was visiting from Austria and we had such a lovely time. My Mum has a fair few food allergies and before our reservation they went through each item and offered an alternative. When we arrived, the table was beautifully laid out, and the food was delicious. Everything is homemade and she had baked my Mum different cakes especially for her. To top it off, the coffee was great and the tea selection is extensive. Definitely worth a visit for both the food and service.

The Georgian Tea Rooms offer a lovely afternoon tea experience. There was a good range of freshly made sandwiches and cakes. The scones, jam and clotted cream were delicious, freshly made. There was an extensive range of teas but coffee is on offer if you prefer. The staff were very friendly and took great care to ensure our afternoon tea experience was a great one.

This is such an incredible place. The staff are lovely and welcoming, it feels like dining in a wonderful (elegant!) home environment. It is the best afternoon tea I’ve ever had! The scones were perfect, the sandwiches were gorgeous. Every little detail was there, from the ambiance to the perfect bespoke teapots. I have allergies and this was completely taken care of, I felt completely safe. I will be coming back very soon. Thank you!

Lovely family run tearoom. We had afternoon tea, and requested a mix of the standard and savoury in advance, and were not disappointed. Everything was fresh and sandwiches and cakes were homemade, including the potted beef and coronation chicken sandwich fillings. On the savoury side the beef and pork pies had been bought from a local supplier and were delicious. Bottomless tea accompanied the food. One of the nicest afternoon teas I have had because everything was prepared with care and attention (unlike some chain restaurants). Highly recommend and look forward to returning next time I'm in the area.
