Doesn't look like from outside but inside is completely different. They have 3 levels with 3 different style restaurants. The food was absolutely amazing and worth every penny. Also the service was some of the best I've experienced in a long time. Would highly recommend
Excellent new restaurant which opened in Manchester at the end of 2017. The restaurant is split into 2 levels - the lower level is the more "traditional" restaurant with noodle and rice dishes. The rice dishes change weekly.
The ground floor level is for (Chinese) hot pot. Also known as steamboat or also "da bin lo". Basically with Chinese hot pot you get a pot with broth in it and you put in different raw ingredients and you cook it yourself. Each ingredient only takes a few minutes to cook each and it all adds to the flavour of the broth.
At One Plus, which is a fairly unique thing (certainly in the UK), is you get your own pot and you control it yourself. This means you like things spicy and someone else doesn't, thats fine since you have your own pot. All the ingredients are on a conveyor belt similar to sushi places like Yo Sushi. You just pick the ingredients, all on different plates to represent the different price and you cook it yourself. So if its something like some spinach, thats £1 but if you get something like scallops, this cost more (£4).
Food tasted great. Friendly staff. Great service.
This was my first stop after my train journey from Glasgow. There were 3 of us and we wanted hotpot! This is hotpot with a difference. Unlike traditional hotpot, you get your own broth pot. Choose from a range of chicken, spicy, veggie or tom yum. 2 of us opted for chicken. The other was undecided as to whether she wanted a bit of spice or not the owner suggested a split pot - yes!! This is an option! Best of both worlds! Then you simply choose whatever you want from the conveyor belt - sectioned into various categories - veg; seafood; beef, pork, lamb - all kinds of offerings even for the very fussy and more adventurous diners (tripe anyone?).
We had plenty to eat - all of which was very fresh! Look at our stack! Next time we are going to the noodle and rice bar (same owners) for some traditional handpulled noodles.
Do give it a try if you're in the area. Innovative dining and very relaxed atmosphere too.
Excellent new Chinese hot pot restaurant. You get a choice of broth and dipping sauce, and then cook your own meal from the meat, seafood and vegetables that are on the conveyor belt in front of you. It's really fun, and there's a great variety of fresh ingredients to choose from.
We wanted Korean bbq originally, but saw in the menu they have a variety of seafood dishes so we opted for that instead being big seafood fans. Glad we did as we were pleasantly surprised! We ordered the seafood platter and that was huge! Seafood was delicious, although we would have preferred it if all of the seafood was not spicy at all, the spicy clams and crab were very tasty. We also ordered seafood tofu pot, salt & pepper baby octopus and a fried rice dish and chicken soup noodle. (We were not meant to order the fried rice and soup noodle from the bottom floor of the restaurant as that was separate even though it was the same restaurant, but the manager were kind enough to let us order it up).
Would recommend the huge seafood platter (for 4 people) and the salt and pepper baby octopus.

This was our first experience with Chinese hot pot and we have already decided we will be back in a few weeks!
The staff are amazing, very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. They were very present and attentive, probably the best service we have ever had in Manchester.
The sauce/ dipping bar is great, lots of variety and a guideline of how to create your base. Allergens are labelled clearly, it is stated that there is chance of cross contamination due to the kitchen handling ingredients- completely expected and well explained in the restaurant.
We had tom yum broth, it was light and refreshing - full of flavour and well seasoned. They offer lots of options on the menu, along with recommended cooking times and the prices are labelled by plate colour. Soft drinks are quite expensive but that's the only real criticism.
Amazing experience, we can't wait to come back and will be booking a table soon!
Food was very good, service was excellent. We left feeling very happy n positive 😊
Great restaurant with multiple floors of options. The staff were super friendly, and the food tasted great. Lobster was spot on. The BBQ was a tad on the expensive side, but really did taste fantastic.
This restaurant has 3 storeys with the basement as noodle bar, ground floor as hot Pot and 1st floor is the Barbecue. We chose to have the BBQ dinner. The food is great and the staff are so nice and friendly.
This is the best got place we've ever been to hands down. The service is absolutely amazing to the point you thing you're in the Shards. The manager is also working along side his staffs. If you ever go please get the manager to do is sauce and spice blend for you. I strongly recommend you to attend this restaurant.
I promise you won't be breaking the bank. Pints and over 8 didn't items to add to our broth around £40-£60
Super clean, friendly staff, amazing quality of food.
The basement noodles and rice portions are generous and worth the money. Dishes are authentic and without the sweet adjustment for westerners. They also have gluten-free options but you will need to speak to the staff directly about these. Side dishes and snacks are well worth trying. If you cannot eat spicy food, then be careful what you order. Great place for lunch.
First time experiencing this type of food service. Friendly staff, great choice, reasonable prices. Fully enjoyed the food. A great experience if you haven’t tried this type of restaurant. Would recommend.
If you’re looking for a place to have Chinese hot pot or any Chinese noodles dishes this is the best restaurant to be!
The staffs are always so friendly ☺️
I can’t wait to try their BBQ too!!!

Excellent hot pot experience! Chinese hot pot is one of my favourite dinners, and I've heard of conveyor belt hotpot from friends who lived in Shanghai, so when I saw it as an option in Manchester I had to visit to try it for myself.
I've eaten hotpot many times before, but always with Chinese friends hosting or managing ordering for the table, so I loved being able to pick the ingredients I recognised as my favourites off the conveyor belt. I also appreciated that they left the menu with us so that we could check to make sure we cooked everything for the right amount of time.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, so if you have any questions or need anything don't hesitate to suggest it. For example, I asked for medium spicy broth and didn't find it hot enough, so they brought me a bowl of the spicy paste to add to it to my liking!
I got the plum juice (pictured) which I really enjoy - it's the perfect amount of sweet / sour to compliment a spicy hotpot. Afterwards, my friend from Sanming told me next time to order the Chinese gin (the square bottle with blue letters) and add it to the plum juice for a Chinese cocktail.
Worth making a reservation because it gets busy.
