Had breakfast here today and it was absolutely delicious. Merguez sausage was so tasty. The staff couldn't have been more helpful even though it was really busy. Will definitely be back again. Cheers fella!!
Great informal dining worth a visit not over price would recommend
Please bring back bonsoy
We visit trove whenever we are in Manchester as my husband LOVES the coffee (he’s a huge fan of coffee having lived in Australia for years) although on our most recent visit we found out that bonsoy is no longer an option and my husband was gutted!! We used to go out of our way to come here for the coffee - we won’t be doing that until bonsoy is back. I love the vibe of this place and the desserts are just incredible.
A great little find in the middle of an array of shops. A simple menu that has vegan and vegetarian options. The desserts are to die for. Excellent service, very welcoming place.
Trove Café in Levenshulme had been on my ‘to visit’ list for quite some time. I am a frequent visitor to the Antiques Market opposite but the late morning buzz at this popular cafe had previously meant that I missed out on trying their beautiful brunch. I made a conscious effort to get up early one Sunday and headed over. It was the most beautiful of mornings and I managed to grab a table outside before it started filling up.
For me the jewel in this crown is Trove Café and Bakery. I've mentioned my love for their bread on many occasions; they’re head and shoulders my favourite ‘proper’ bakery in Manchester with a classic white sourdough that could scrap it out with the best of them.
I adored Trove. I loved the people, the window seat where I could watch the world go by, the fact they served cinnamon based grains with my sandwich and of course the wonderful choice of cakes. Trove is a happy little shop full of happy people.
The first course – or para picar – quickly followed, in the form of ‘patacón’ (twice-fried squashed plantain bites) served with a Colombian aji sauce and guacamole.
The patacón themselves were brilliant; so crispy and tastier than any fried potato equivalent I’ve ever come across. Topped with the lovely chunky guacamole and spicy chilli salsa they were the perfect snack and highly addictive.
Sandwiches include such delights as Smoked Mackerel with wasabi & lettuce in malted Trove bread, served with a little fruity cous cous. There is always an varied selection of fillings but its the Trove bread which makes the sandwiches special.
Love the aesthetics! Perfect place for catchup with friends and the staff are so friendly🤍 definitely a go to coffee spot from now on thank you x
Went for a late lunch, had the seasonal specials: fennel sausage and Turkish green eggs
- delicious. Love their rye and fennel bread. Too bad most of the cakes were sold out. Next time!
This little unassuming place along Levenshulme main road is a bright spot in this region. The moment you enter you're greeted warmly and the staff is very helpful and forthcoming. The food is all made here by passionate people who're no less than artisans. The decor is simple while being classy and makes you comfortable and cozy. The food is amazing too. Although I tried only their brownies, I was happy. I'd not tried any brownies like that. Decadent in a word. I will go back again for sure, I hear good things about their vegan options and their coffee. The place is wheelchair accessible and kid friendly. Good for small groups and dates well as going alone. It's easily walkable from the train station and many buses stop nearby and well. Parking is only curb side.
Lovely little spot in Levenshulme which is known for its loaves but it has so much more to offer. The service is quick and very friendly, you can book a table which is a bonus and there are high chairs available too. The French toast was a croissant loaf topped with plums, custard and almonds which was delicious due to the contrasting flavours and textures. To drink, I had the sea salt hot chocolate which had a chai flavour too. Plenty of sweet and savoury treats to take out too, I went for the vegan pecan brownie and the hazelnut and butterscotch blondie. The blondie tasted out of this world. The gingerbread croissant caught my eye too!
Friendly service, awesome food and excellent coffee. Good vegan and specials menu, and the overall menu is reassuringly concise with plenty of seasonal and fresh ingredients. There are facilities for baby changing and high chairs, and the cafe itself is much bigger than it appears on the outside! A great little pit stop, highly recommended.
French toast was good with seasonal ingredients so today it was with baked apples and crumble. Something a bit different to the usual berries!
Expensive though at £11.99 as its not a huge portion
Fabulous cafe/bakery. Good coffee but the stars of the show are the pickled raisin sausage rolls , off the scale . Good sourdough as well .
One of my favourite places in Levenshulme, you can't go wrong with the coffee and bread. This place started in front of me around 2010s and it is so nice to see that it has grown so much over the years. Nice little place with an artsy vibe about it.
Always great service and fantastic food, we had booked in for breakfast this morning and were initially disappointed to find out they were out of their usual french toast (it was pretty much why we made the reservation having not dined in at trove since the start of the pandemic). The staff went out of their way to make us another version. The Coffee obviously also great and they make what my partner rates as the best chai latte too.
First visit today. Had a fantastic Vegan breakfast, taste and presentation excellent.Staff nice, very friendly, quick service. Really enjoyed the visit and will be back.
