The Silver Fork

Being a past restaurant owner from New York I just had to stop and do a write up! It's not often that a restaurant will get the perfect check from my husband and I. A perfect check consists of appetizer, soup, main course and then dessert & coffee. This is not an easy task to eat all this in one sitting however with great service it can be accomplished when it is a nice, relaxing, warm and inviting atmosphere. From the minute you enter the restaurant it is most inviting. We started off with their onion soup presentation was outstanding let alone delicious. We moved on to the escargot in a baked pastry and also steak tartar again presentation off the charts and the taste was perfectly seasoned. We moved on to the Veal Schnitzel with warm German potato salad, our main entree which Melody (the owner) advised my husband and I that we share the entree being that we were ordering the same thing. WOW... Great advice because that left us room to have their most best kept secret...... Bread pudding! If you are in the area this is a must stop dining experience! Bon appetite! OMG! Went last night. Seated in a corner table, in the bar. Very upscale. High ceilings & low music playlist added to the ambience. The food was exceptional. We had the flatbread with tapas. Delicious. I had the escargot. Presentation with light & flaky pop over- amazing flavor. Then the creole shrimp mofungo. My husband had the clam chowder. Yummy. And he enjoyed the bolognese. To end the evening we had the speciality dessert. To die for.

This is one of my top 10 best restaurants in THE WORLD. Yes, I said what I said. We have been coming to this restaurant since they were in a tiny space with only 6 tables. Their now home, in the former library space, is gorgeous, intimate and comfortable all at the same time. The food is exceptional. From the homemade flatbread with green olive tapenade all the way through the amazing bread pudding, each bite was a delight. Make reservations well in advance...this is not to be missed.

I dont give 5 star reviews. but I do now. Service was perfect, as in our case, did not want to rush but enjoy. Food was wonderful and well paired with wine (we sampled two preferring one: who does that?) I had the risotto/lobster, my wife seafood (salmon) and this is 100s of miles from the sea. wonderful balance, deep flavors, well presented. yep we are going back (Fond memories of the library from my childhood was a topper. even considered a painting purchase)

This was our first time dining here. We love the fact that the restaurant is in an old library. The staff was very courteous and friendly and very, very knowledgeable about the menu. We had reservations and were promptly seated, they're were four of us and a one month baby. The food was awesome. I highly recommend the lobster risotto. Please see the photos we have attached. When we are back in the area, we will definitely dine here again.

WOW ! loved everything about The Silver Fork. The food is just spectacular, top quality deserves more stars. The old library vibe paired with great music created a retro ambiance. The seating deserves to be mentioned. You are not on top of other tables so you have a nice space which is really nice for a change. Limited seating so if possible plan ahead. looking forward to our next visit.

This place is just spectacular. Every part of it shines - service, design, 'vibe' etc. BUT the food is over the top. This restaurant would be a star in Manhattan. If you are lucky enough to be anywhere near this place, make a reservation. Actually, scratch that. This is a worthy destination for a road trip. Bravo! Just make sure to order the bread pudding desert at the beginning of your meal. It is the best bread pudding I have had.
