We had a drink in this historic pub, it was nice in sitting area, but my partner complained late that male toilet needs deep cleaning as it was dirty like in 1970’s.

Very good pub owned by Manchester Metropolitan University and run by the student union. The pub is a tap for the Bollington Brewery and had five cask beers - and 1 cider - on handpump when I visited. Lots of outdoor seating most of it covered.

The Salutation was a wonderful place to end my nostalgic stroll around the campus. The pub is in great condition & so is the range of Bollington cask ales.

Beautiful pub dwarfed alas by 'recent' construction. Still,well worth a visit with 5 cask ales on when I called. Very quiet for lunchtime though ..
