It was lovely to be greeted by the landlord on arrival. Table was very spacious for our group of five. Waitress service was excellent. The food arrived in a timely manner and was delicious. Ample quantity and excellent quality. Bar service was good. Could not find any fault in any respect. Good value for money spent. Well done The Packhorse Inn team.

Had two meals here now, both were absolutely lovely. Staff are super polite and attentive. Definitely a family feel to the place, food was excellent on both occasions, would highly recommend.

The service was a little slow. We waited 20 minutes before getting a menu (the menus aren't on the table when you are seated). We then waited a further 20 minutes before our meal order was taken, so I suggest that you are able to make your meal a longer relaxing event rather than fast food. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The meals were really good.

We really like this pub in the village where we live. The owners are really nice and welcoming and the pub environment is super clean and has two open fires. The food is really fantastic and everything is home made and cooked to an amazing standard. The presentation of the food was like a picture from a cookery book and the flavours of the two dishes we had were really out of this world. The lamb shank was perfect and the game pie was really packed with meat which was really tender and not overly gamey. Both dishes are really worth a try if available. My Wife's Tanqueray Sevilla Orange Gin (x2) really made her day and I tried both the Guiness options - standard (x1) and extra cold (x2). I had to go for a bike ride to burn off the calories but they were some of the best calories that I've been fortunate enough to acquire. We can't recommend this pub highly enough and we are lucky to live so near to it. PS There is also a nice courtyard to sit in and we enjoyed that when it was warmer weather in the summer.

We had a lovely evening meal on a Saturday. Parking out front is limited but there are plenty of places to park immediately near by. The staff were friendly enough, the food was good and although a little expensive in some areas there were a good number of choices at lower costs, a good range. It was very quiet when we went but they were fully booked later in the evening so we obviously beat the rush. It’s not priced at a point where I would go regularly but all in all it was a lovely experience and I would go back.

Superb, comfortable dining room, and friendly staff. Comprehensive menu and fair prices. £107 for 3 course meals for 3 people, including drinks.

Family owned, super friendly and clean and great food. Beer garden (courtyard) is also lovely in the Summer. Have always had lovely food whenever we've visited. A little gem of a country pub/restaurant.

Well we have just had the most amazing meal at the pack horse. Four of us have just had beautiful 3 course meal and we are all full and satisfied. The rib eye steak was probably the best I’ve ever had and cooked to perfection. Excellent quality food cooked and prepared to perfection. Service was also first class so this will definitely be a venue we will be returning to at some point. Lovely staff and friendly people make this a 5 star facility. Thank you Pack Horse staff for making a meal out with friends a very special evening. 5 stars doesn’t seem enough for this wonderful place. Give it a try if you’ve never been before. You certainly won’t be disappointed. NJ.

Exceptional food and great service. We both chose from the specials menu. I had "Drunken duck", the Grand Marnier sauce was delicious and my partner had Kleftico. This was authentic as the owners are Greek Cypriot. Will definitely return.
