The best fish I have had in a long time, gluten free too! The menu looks amazing for people without dietary requirements, a wide range of options. Service was great despite being incredibly busy.

Had the best Chippy takeaway ever. Had so many options it was hard to choose. I had the BBQ pulled chicken with chips and Black pepper sauce. Well worth a try. 👍👍👍

Best fish and chips I’ve had in years! Unlike most, the batter is perfectly crisp and the chips are delicious. Plus, the way it’s presented is not too overwhelming. I finished every bit. Lovely, well done!

On a few days holiday up in Matlock and searched on line for gluten free fish and chip shops. After looking in Matlock Bath and not being overly impressed by the one place that catered for gf, we searched Matlock itself. This place came up so headed that way. Right near the top of of very big hill but what a fantastic find. Quite an extensive menu but just went for the fish and chips. Extremely busy with people calling in, orders coming through online and by phone but the small team of two worked very effectively together. Obviously very organised to keep on top of orders and I was super impressed.
Sat and ate our fish and chips in the car and it was delicious, especially after a long day walking in the hills.
I so wish we had something like this in my neighbourhood. Totally recommend this place, definitely 5*

We were staying at the Old School House B & B, Uppertown, we were recommended to try the Wellington Street Fish shop. We found it quite easily, parked up and went in. Good selection on the menu and it was freshly cooked to order. Excellent and reasonable prices, would recommend you try it.
