Kyo Tea House

I fell in love with this green tea flavoured beverage and ice creams. Kyo Tea House is the best one in the city. They are specialised on everything Matcha (Green Tea). Their Matcha ice cream with extreme matcha flavour is so intense. It is not a typical creamy matcha latte. Anyone who is serious about Macha would need to give it a go. Apart from ice cream, their soft serve is also very nice. You get to choose 3 different waffle cones. Two of them came with tea flavours. The service is very friendly and efficient. This is our go to place for a quick ice cream run after dinner. The only problem, the one in CBD closes too early 😊

Kyo Tea House is a dessert cafe located in Melbourne Emporium. The cafe serves a wide variety of dessert including drinks, gelato, soft serve, cakes, etc. The flavours of gelato include hoijicha, azuki, yuzu, different intensities of matcha, etc. The dessert served is very delicious. Spent about 2 hours at this place Sunday arvo and it was always bustling with people from different backgrounds and ages. Not an expert on what Japanese green tea should taste like but I know for sure, the flavours are bold and suit my taste buds. If this is what real Japanese sweet dessert tastes like, I'd be more than happy to leave on a flight tonight. Had the green tea float which was very nice. Also had 2 ice crem scoops: gen mai cha and sesame. I personally recommend their ice cream. Super delicious!
