Came here for a family meal. There was 15 of us and we didn't book - stupid I know - but they sorted us out tables straight away. Food was delicious and we all ordered a variety of meals. My steak was cooked to perfection. And didn't have any complaints from the rest of my party. Will definitely be returning soon 😌 also a big shout out to Amanda and Kim who couldn't do more for us as we had children with us and they were very friendly and warm towards them

We've had a couple of lush meals here recently. The atmosphere is friendly as are the staff and our server today (Richard) was very attentive. The Food is good value, especially with the regular offers and the beer is well kept. Can definitely recommend!

Richard was a brilliant server, he was very friendly, polite and helpful. The food was beautiful and boiling hot when served to us. Services was good and not long waiting on food. Only issue we had was the restaurant it self was boiling, could have done with opening a window. Overall lovely place, staff and food and would definitely recommend and return.

My friend and I met up at the King Brychan in Merthyr a few days ago. We haven’t been able to get together for a few years and had so much to catching up to do so we chose the King Brychan as it was around half way for both for us to travel to. I have to say it was the best decision ever because the food was amazing and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We spent several hours there and had drinks, food, dessert and coffees. I have to give a special mention to Richard who served us, nothing was too much trouble for him and his customer service was exceptional. We weren’t rushed to order at all and my friend and I were able to have a really enjoyable, chilled few hours. The atmosphere there was so relaxed and friendly and Richard couldn’t do enough for us. I’d definitely go back to the King Brychan and highly recommend it both for exceptional customer services and wonderful food.

Came down for a carvery and really enjoyed. Excellent service from Richard. Showed up without booking with my partner and dog, and could see it was extremely bus. but managed to accommodate us and offer a table for two and brought my dog some water, which was really kind! 10/10

My family and I visited for Sunday lunch and I can’t recommend King Bruchan enough! Fantastic service by Crystal who went above and beyond for my family- she was very welcoming and helpful! We are a large party and also needed a high chair which was provided immediately. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced! We will definitely be visiting again!

Even though it was busy in the restaurant the service was quick and friendly. There was a short wait to be seated which was fine. Food was hot and fresh and was good quality. The staff were all extremely friendly as always.

Went for Sunday lunch without booking. It was very busy and full, but Richard managed to get us a table. He was very polite, friendly, and welcoming. The Sunday roast was amazing. All the staff were pleasant and accommodating despite how busy it was.

We had decided last minute to go for some food locally and thought we’d try king brychan as we hadn’t been for ages & fancied a change. We weren’t disappointed with our choice as we had a brilliant evening! It was busy but staff were still friendly and helpful & there was a great atmosphere with a quiz going on too! We had an adults carvery & child carvery for my little boys & a mixed grill! Chef was polite, happy & helpful! A lovely Friday evening out, will definitely return :) thank you!

We met and dealt with efficiently and politely by Richard who was also a wealth of information about Christmas lunch. Crystal who served us was polite and attentive 👍🏻 Great staff. Carvery was warm and tasty. Only gripe - some of the comfy armchairs are way too low for the table
