I've eaten several times at The George and really rate the food, the atmosphere and the welcome. The portions are generous and the quality and freshness are top drawer, which is why I keep coming back. The service occasionally falls down slightly, but in an amusing way and I guess the girls' age and experience of life will put that right in time. Highly recommended!

Amazing Sunday roast! Came here today with my mum who is local to the area and I’m so impressed! All the staff were lovely and accommodating as soon as you walk in the door and throughout our visit. We both had the Sunday roast, one ham & one beef and oh wow was it good! You get a huge portion size and the food quality is 10/10. We will definitely be back and recommending to our family and friends! Thankyou xx

I have visited this pub for the last 4 months and they never fail to amaze me. Great for afternoon drinks in the sun, fantastic food, superb staff and the cleanest toilets I have ever seen in a pub. The landlords take extreme pride in running their business and this shows. They have great offers available for example, curry night, pizza night etc. There are two big screens one at each end of the pub for rugby, F1 or football. This pub is great for family’s and dogs as the garden is a very good size with ample of room for puppies and kids to play. Inside there is plenty of room at the bar and tables perfect for romantic nights out or for friends and family to gather. Easy access to the A5 makes it convenient to get to whether you are local or not. Thank you Simon and Louise for your great service and hospitality on every visit. Craig & Jane

This is a lovely country pub. I really cannot fault it. The food and drink are amazing, and the staff very friendly and welcoming. There is quite often music here at the weekend, and children and dogs are welcome too, so there really is something for everyone. I cycle here myself, and it's a very nice ride from the surrounding villages. If you've never been here before, I can really recommend it; you won't leave disappointed.

We visited this beautiful family run pub this afternoon for a lovely roast lunch and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious! By far the best roast we've had in a long time. The owners Simon and Louise were lovely and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcomed and to ensure we had everything we needed. Looking forward to visiting again for some of their upcoming events. Definitely a must visit!

My partner and I decided we wanted to go out for some food today, I googled places as wanted to try somewhere new and we landed on you. 10 minute drive so I was surprised I hadn’t heard of you before, and we were certainly not disappointed! I ordered the garlic bread to start, very large portion so if you want a little nibble then this may be too big. Very tasty indeed! For my main I ordered the vegan dog with side of onion rings, the onion rings were very nice and the hotdog was so full of flavour that after one bite I had to double check it wasn’t the meat one, incredibly good food. Staff were super friendly, the pub is a lovely looking pub next to a beautiful church. We will definitely be back.
