Restaurant was not expensive, however, welcoming of the staff was friendly and food overall was quite lovely-price compared. Needs a bit more cleaning, but it's a good place to eat or drink. Fish and steak very delicious.
Had a nice meal here, had a bit of a delay and the staff dealt with it really well. The food was a good standard, the staff were polite and friendly. Prices are very good for what you get, worth a trip.
Outstanding food and nice pub. Good value typical greene king food. Only criticism is ordered on app and drinks didn’t arrive. When queried at bar took a long time for staff to find order/sort drinks.
I’ve been to this place a few times, it’s such a nice atmosphere, the staff are lovely and friendly, and so are the customers. It’s really clean, and they hold a toddler group every Thursday which is amazing!! Will definitely be returning!!
The Easter celebration at the tawny was off the chain for the little ones 👌... Great entertainment well thought out, even as a disabled dad they had me up dancing... Food was (for what the brand is) was great well cooked and good value.. my son loved it he even danced his little heart out and he is not usually an boogiest by any stretch. .. well done team tawny owl great afternoon 🐇🌷🌈
Haven't been for a while but it's recently been done up and it is now nice and bright and clean..
The place is totally different and looks great.. was much needed.
The food was awesome and the staff were friendly, polite and attentive.
The menu looks really appetising and the triple threat challenge I had didn't fail to amaze.. was so tasty and the steaks were cooked perfect.

This was my first time going to this pub. It was recently renovated, and you can really tell. The bathrooms are modern, new and sparkling clean. The pub it self has a great atmosphere with a great team to serve your food and drinks. There are multiple screens so you can enjoy your next sporting event from anywhere in the room. The pub also has a pool table, a darts board, claw machine, and many more. In the back there is a massive beer garden to sit the larger crowds. There is also a playground area to keep the little ones entertained while you enjoy your food and drink. And finally. The food has got to be the best aspect of it all. It is not your average pub food, with traditional foods such as fish and chips, burgers etc. the quality is phenomenal. There is a massive selection of food and drinks to choose from so there is something for everyone.
I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the incredible dining experience I had at your restaurant, thanks to the exceptional skills and creativity of the chef Adam. The presentation of the dishes was simply stunning, reflecting the chef's meticulous attention to detail. It was evident that the ingredients used were of the highest quality, resulting in a dining experience that surpassed my expectations.
Myself and my 7 month old Cocker Spaniel popped here (sat outside) for a coke and a bite to eat (13/06/23). The barmaid (didn’t catch her name) was lovely, she was quick to bring my drink and made a nice fuss of the dog, she even returned with a fresh water bowl and some treats for him which went down well. I think it’s nice this day and age to be pet friendly, and this barmaid went out of her way to ensure my pup was as suitably refreshed as I was! Thank you Tawney Owl for hiring great folk.
We ordered the 25 chicken wing platter and Jesus Christ the Carolina reaper sauce is not to be taken lightly, as soon as it touched my lips my whole face was on fire. Do not take with a pinch of salt!! 😂 very tasty wings though well done.
