The Moon Under Water

So I stoppped off here tonight for a few swift’s one’s and a large mixed grill. After navigating your way through the ‘Top boys’ hood section, then I arrived at the bar unscathed, but could hear the dulcet tone of very loud “yes bruv’s” behind me. A good mix of people and busy as you like. Waited a short while at the bar with the barman I think disappearing for the toilet at one point (not a clue where he went before I finished my order) 🤣 When I did get served the service was quick, friendly and the food come out piping hot within about 15-20 mins. Staff could smile a bit more, as it felt like they were all on community service. Beer was a decent pint of coors reasonably priced compared to the highway robbery prices of the surrounding bars in the area. All in all I would come again even though there is an element of a mini ‘Gangster hood’ section near the main front door. Wetherspoons provide a service that others pubs don’t provide…..,an ability to afford to socialise without going into the red. Only criticism would be no salt and sauce or anything offered with y the food,, but the mixers grill was hot, tasty and the meet was good quality

Me and my partner went for some food and a drink, ordered on the app and the drinks came quickly, when the food came I only got my burger which was missing my onion rings and the waitress said that the kitchen had got my partners order wrong so he had to wait for his while they re cook it. I sent mine back to hold while they cooked my partner’s so that we could eat together as planned. I do understand that it’s hospitality and it gets difficult and more than a complaint this is a good review for the amazing server we had Alisha, she apologised and made sure that we both were satisfied before we left, she was dealing with a lot of other situations to do with the kitchen and she dealt with everything and everyone extremely well and is an asset to the company. If it wasn’t for her we would not have been happy with our experience but we will be back thanks to her. Would recommend for the amazing service from Alisha in particular ☺️

Came here a couple of weeks ago and still keep coming back... 2 adults and 5 children for breakfast, from the usual fry up to American style with bacon, waffles and syrup and all under £50 with drinks.. Wide variety to choose from and in adult and child portions, help yourself top up on hot drinks... Not had any alcohol here yet as with the kids, but with the food available, range of drinks and indoor and outdoor seating, and at reasonable prices haven't found a fault with this place... Friendly staff and friendly environment create a good experience for all... Easy access with plenty of parking spaces outside, and direct access into the Xscape on the other side.. Excellent access for disabled people with staff that seemed to be more than willing to help if needed..

This spoons was very busy when we were there but the staff were doing their best to keep the place as clean as they could. Lots of outdoor seating in the front and the usual seating inside including a raised area in the centre of the pub. The Guinness was excellent but the Doom Bar was a bit too cold
