The View At The Waters Edge

Roast was lovely but the carrots were...gritty which was a bit odd. Staff are always very friendly and accommodating (especially when I have dietary issues). Never seem to be able to find my booking but so far have always been able to squeeze me in. Site is on a lovely location with (would you believe) a lake view which seems a great place if you wanted to hire it out for an event but the drive in is a little tricky as it does look like private property (head up, keep right)

I visited the Lake view on Thursday for a bingo night with my friend. I had one to many and became a bit of a nightmare and lost my phone. But would just like to say how amazing the staff were with handling me. I returned today to look for my phone and a staff member called Alan was great and had been looking after it trying to return it back to me 😁 I'm so grateful to all the staff at the Lake view 🙌

I've been going to the lake view quite often lately, and I think it's amazing. The view speaks for itself, the staff are very warm and welcoming and the food and drinks are all you could expect. I've introduced some friends to the View and it's become a regular spot for all of us of a summers evening.

I really don't want to leave a bad review as previous experience of the lake view has been good. I booked a table on Monday morning for the England Italy game when I booked it I was told that I would be seated in the green area with no mention of a table number. Upon arrival I was asked by the security to provide a table number which I wasnt given so I tried to explain this to them and was just told if I didn't have a number then I wasn't coming in and I should call them I tried calling from outside the venue several times but had no answer. I asked the security if they could ask a member of staff but he just ignored me. I had to ask a different security guard If he could ask them and then the original security guard came out and said we could come in but provided no table number so I then had to go through the same thing with the security letting cars in as I had other people waiting to get in. We eventually got a table number went round to our table and the table was occupied and the people on the table where correctly seated. Rather than trying to get hold of a member of staff or security that had ignored me for 25 minutes we just felt it best to leave and decided to watch the game elsewhere. I spent £20 to stand outside a door being ignored by staff and security
