Lilly (Assistant Manager) and all the superb team. During our stay. Were attentive, with client satisfaction as their foremost goal. They unrelentingly achieved this. Nothing was too much trouble. Our double room was adequate. However, the food and drinks, were an exceptional experience and highly recommended, for both evening dining and breakfast.
I haven’t been to the ragged cot in a good 8 years and it was good back then but what I experienced today was faultless on every level. The decoration of the pub and restaurant is beautiful, the gardens are stunning and the food was out of this world, everything was cared for and cooked perfectly.. the chips.. oh the chips. I would especially like to mention the service, our waitress was absolutely lovely, went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and even brought out paper and crayons for our toddler without being asked. Definitely make time to go here
We had an amazing stay! Food was perfect, breakfast had plenty of choice, and service was great.
Our room was downstairs and great! It was clean and comfortable with a lovely rainfall shower.
The beer garden was incredible, well maintained and a sun trap if the weather is nice.
Second time we have been for a meal at the Ragged Cot, and for the second time the food and service were outstanding. The staff were attentive, charming and seemed very happy to be where they were - the sign of good management.
I rather think we'll be eating here every time we're in the area.
We went here for lunch, not to sleep. The service was excellent and the food was great. The presence of a fire place was quite welcome. The Indian food could have had dal and roti to complete it, but it was very tasty.
Food was excellent, I had the pie (herefordshire beef shin), then on a separate occasion, the trio of guinea fowl.
Both dishes were excellent, I also recommend the camembert bread platter.
Sometimes on a Friday evening they have live music which was very nice and they were very accommodating of our 2 young children.
We have made this our new local dinning restaurant.
Had a belter of a lunch here, the beer garden is beautiful.
Found the food to be more than fairly priced. For instance we asked for a garlic bread side for 6 pounds . Was a very tasty pizza style garlic bread.
The staff were friendly and accommodating. Had a good selection of drinks including gluten free options.
Will be returning at some point when we’re back in the UK as our experience was very enjoyable
We happened upon The Ragged Cot today and decided to stop for a spur of the moment lunch. We both had Hereford Shin Pie and mash which was delicious. So … compliments to the chef as they say but also to lovely Petra who served us.

Superb food - we were tasting for their catering service for a wedding. The quality of the ingredients and the cooking were exceptional and the service was everything you could wish for. Outstanding
Me and my friend went for an evening meal last week and had an extremely welcoming visit. A girl called Scarlett served us and was really helpful throughout our entire meal and made my birthday special :) 10/10 defo recommend (especially if you get Scarlett)
