Basic menu but tasty food. Lovely cafe with a nicely laid outside area with both sunny and shady tables. Lots of bike parking. Decent espresso and nice soup and half sandwich option. Very friendly and pleasant staff.

This is an ideal stop for a relaxing coffee, chat, and a snack at the end of the Wray Valley trail from Bovey Tracey. It is very cycle friendly with a couple of cycle racks. It's my preferred stop st Mortenhampstead. Then it's downhill all the way back to Bovey.

I ordered the soup and the pastie. The pastie was massive and after the soup I couldn't eat it as I was already overly satisfied. My daughter's had the sausage roll (huge) and jacket potato respectively both of which were awesome. Good coffee and a very friendly atmosphere. Plenty of outside seating bit we sat upstairs in the faux library which was fun. Would absolutely return here to eat again.

My sister-in-law & I visited this afternoon (Thursday 7th September 2023). We bumped into a couple of friends & they treated us to 2 tubs of chocolate & mint chocolate ice creams. Absolutely gorgeous! How lucky were we! We will return!

Best ice cream I’ve had in ages! Such a cute setting too. When the sun is out it’s really an idyllic place to sit 🍦dog friendly too which is a huge bonus!!

Lovely experience and the best scones I've ever had. We're served warm with clotted cream and jam !! Staff is very welcoming. Would recommend sitting outside as inside is abit cramped .. loved it tho :)

We always come here for the gold standard ice cream! Every flavour is spectacular and everyone is always so friendly. We love sitting in the garden with our pup. Everyone should experience a trip here!

Excellent pit stop, cycling NCN28 stopped here for lunch very friendly man the food was wholesome and excellent quality. Had homemade soup and 1/2 sandwich which was good value the bread was thick, fresh and the filling bursting out. Soup was hot and fresh and definitely homemade. Good spot in centre of town with wooden outside benches and place to park bike right out front. Just what is needed when cycling for the day.

Great service with a cheeky grin from the cook. When one place was shutting on a mid afternoon Sunday, this place was still open and welcoming. Honest food and great looking cake. What more could one ask for after greeting lots of neddies at the Miniature Pony Centre. Highly recommended.
