Went here one lunchtime when it had just opened, so pretty quiet for a while. The carvery was okay with a good selection of meat the veg were a little overcooked but overall not too bad. Service was good.

Came for a Sunday dinner after a family day out and it has been perfect! But the only reason I'm actually leaving a review is due to the exceptional service we received from **SOPHIE!!!! **👌 She was just fab!! and deserves the biggest mention!! A+ what a credit to the Toby Team.. Thankyou Sophie 😁

Nothing can be improved on in my opinion, the carvery was absolutely lovely! Both me, my partner and our daughter throughly enjoyed! However it was the staff who blew us away with how incredibly polite, lovely and kind they all were! Will definitely be back to enjoy dinners here more regularly!

The restaurant was very busy just after 12pm, there was a queue for the carvery, but we didn't have to wait to long, there was a good selection of veg, all freshly made, there was a good selection of meats, I had turkey and beef, the beef I got was all gristle, hence I marked the food down a star, (I had the same issue with beef the day before at the Wakefield restaurant) but the turkey was lovely. Staff were very attentive and polite.

It took a while for the staff to see to the customers queuing for the carvery. At paying the bill, we were not told about the 50% off offer during October (I found out from a friend when we got home) so we ended up paying full price which I’m pretty annoyed about. The waitress was lovely to us and our little girl, even though she did not tell us about the 50% off offer.

Went for a Sunday roast which was a delight, meat was good. Carla was our server, she was great, very accomodating to our dietary requirements. Definitely going back.

We didn’t book, but were seated instantly, food was hot and fresh, my mother in law didn’t like her meat as it was a little fatty for her and Carla swapped it for Turkey without question. Drinks were out fast. We all had a king size carvery and two of us had puddings. The food was great. Plenty of meat choices from carvery, 5 meats when we visited, also a vegetarian option, that is slightly cheaper, per person. Atmosphere is very cosy. Staff are friendly and knowledgable. Would recommend for date nights, families and groups. Floor is level so easy access for wheelchairs and people with limited mobility. I would recommend booking in advance if you can as it did get busy later on. Prices are also good for the amount of food you get to eat.

Although it looked a bit dated ( needs a lick of paint ) everything else was spot on. Don't usually have the mash potatoes as the last few tobys I have been to the mash has tasted a bit earthy but here they were really creamy and soft and tasted delicious so a return will be on the cards in the very near future

Visited three times in the last month after over a year of avoiding as the pub was poor. We have had excellent service on all three occasions and are so impressed we have booked for Boxing Day. We would like to say a massive thank you to Sophie, Vicki (Carver) Rachel and Carla who all went above and beyond to make our visit the best. Thank you to all of you...Also could I just add how very pleasant Roma the Manager was too. She also made us feel very welcome and I noticed how good she was with her staff too. See you all soon
