Great selection of beer, bit cramped downstairs as its very popular but you can always get served, plenty of extra seating upstairs. Staff are always great, the beer is superb 👌

A proper real-ale micro-boozer, selling small-batch beers from keg and cask. Very friendly staff and clientele. The only shame is that we weren't in the area for longer.

Lovely little bar in a quiet corner near the footbridge. Very friendly and helpful staff, busy inside but lovely patio seating in the sunshine. Great beer, and dog friendly.

Great beers, lovely courtyard! Had a lovely almasty here. Great selection. Wylam, Rigg and Furrow, Two by Two, Flying Gang and Almasty. Lovely owner too. Particularly nice in summer in the courtyard, given it is quite tiny inside! Only suggestion is it could be modernised/brighter inside.

Fantastic micropub! Great beers, great people, great atmosphere, and great prices! The best pub by far for miles! Andrea is exactly the sort of person you need to run a pub like this: dedicated to the quality of the beer and customer service. Discovered this place on Saturday; they had a perfectly kept Two by Two, which won me over immediately! Cannot recommend this little jewel highly enough. Will be back, with friends, as soon as possible.

It does not surprise me that the walls of this establishment are covered in awards. It deserves all of them. It’s hard to imagine a warmer welcome from staff and patrons anywhere. A very broad range of beer and cider hand pumps fill the counter offering a selection that must suit all tastes. Knowledgeable staff help you narrow down your choice and local regulars greet and entertain you as if you have been going to the pub for years. I can’t wait to return to this gem of a pub.
