The only real Turkish kebab restaurant and food all over New Zealand owned by a Turkish family. Meat and dish quality are the same as high standard in Turkey. Shish kebab was extremely delicious and a big portion. The meat doner kebab is real, not the sausage kind other restaurants call “Turkish”. Baklava is authentic. Highly recommend.

Best meal we've had in New Zealand in over a week. Lovely family business, serving fresh & delicious food. Take your tastebuds on an adventure away from the typical kebab. Scrumptious baklava too. Nelson locals are so lucky to have this place on their doorstep. Update: even though we spent only 2 nights in Nelson, we happily ate at Nysa's both nights, as their food is so good & there's nothing like it where we're from.

Great food, exactly what I wanted.
Got a large mixed salad box with fries to take away. Fries were standard fast food fare, but well cooked and salted.
The meat in the box was great, again not too salty. The salad components were nice and fresh as well. Portion size was generous.
Definitely has gone on my list of regular food options in Nelson!

Amazing food, good prices and very friendly and accommodating staff. We turned up as a group of 10 unannounced, and they were able to rearrange tables and seat us with no problems. As a bonus, our food was also ready very quickly!

This has become my favourite place to eat out in Nelson. The food is always fresh and delicious (the dolma are heavenly!), and the service is always excellent. The food is very reasonably priced for the portion and taste, and they are able to cater to coeliacs.
Make sure to get an apple tea with your meal and you'll leave happy!
