Very good fish and chips, I recommend the gurnard. Plenty of other deep fried options and parking right in front of the store.

From out of town but want to move in after having a Kai here freshest cleanese sweetest oil and chips were delicious! My mothers loved them too.

Put in an out of season order for oysters (for Dad’s 100th BD)and fillets of gurnard. All perfectly cooked.The gurnard was the best we have ever had, large thick juicy fillets and the oysters like fresh and lightly fried. We highly recommend!

This would have to be Nelson's best fish and chip shop.. every time- so delicious. Chips crispy outside and soft centre's, we often buy gurnard, always tender, fresh and perfect. 😊

Best dish and chips I’ve ever had. Only complaint is the portions are pretty small. I asked if a full scoop was enough chips for 2 people and they said yes, it was not. But the gurnard was INCREDIBLE.

Least-greasy greasies I've had, but in a good way. Beautiful fillet battered and cooked to order along with fresh chips. Asked for minimal salt on the chips and got exactly what I ordered. Fish of the day (Southern king fish) was great. Lovely and fresh with perfect amount of batter. Will come again

Superb food always perfectly prepared. Owner is matter of fact with English only being his second language but never short of a smile and always polite. Easily the best fish and chips in Nelson.

OMG!! The very BEST fish & Chips I've had for years!! Got fish and chips when I was visiting Nelson back in August.. DELICIOUS!! I meant to write a review then.. but forgot. Got fish and chips from there again last night.. YUM YUM YUM!! I highly recommend Haven Fish and Chips, and next time I'm back in Nelson I will be ordering fish and chips again from there for sure!!
