Apart from marks fish & chip van up towards Hermitage. The dolphin is the best in newbury for us.
We try to go once a week and have always enjoyed their food.

I'm new to Newbury, and BD has cemented itself as a staple for my family and I.
Old school excellence served well, what more can you ask for. big portions, properly cooked, salted and vinegared (on request), with add-ons in waiting, I can't commend the food enough.
Young staffers, are pointed and professional, perhaps could be a bit more chatty, but nonetheless, the best fish and chipper around.

Good portions fish tasty, chips cooked correctly sift on the inside and not to crispy on the out side. Need to serve onion vinegar to give food a little more flavour. All in all not a to bad Chippy

Probably the best fish and chips in Newbury. And not to take it away from the younger generation to be working but a little more manners and less playing about would have given 5 stars for service.
