Mascalzone is an authentic neighbourhood Italian. We found the food delicious especially the ravioli. The service was exceptional and the menu was excellent value for the quality of food you get. We found the location and venue is charming.
Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to try a family run Italian.

I went there last night the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place if you like Italian food and fine dining.i will definitely be going back.

This place is a hidden gem! The food is amazing: fresh, tasty, full of flavour and good sized portions. Staff are very friendly and always smiling. Nothing seems too much for them to do. It's a cozy little place but has the most homely atmosphere.

We were a party of 3 and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Everything was beautifully cooked. Service was fast, friendly and efficient- without feeling rushed in any way.The tiramisu was the equal of anywhere. As other people mention, the parking is difficult - but this place is worth a bit of a walk. I'd recommend reserving. The pricing makes this place excellent value for money.

Mascalzone is my favourite Italian restaurant ever, it truly is a neighbourhood gem! All the food is incredible and great value considering the amazing quality, I cannot speak highly enough of the lobster & crab ravioli which is one of the best raviolis I've ever had in my life. Service is great and staff go above and beyond, special thanks to Sabina & co for making my mum's belated birthday so special - really such a great restaurant. Also, considering they are a seafood restaurant, the seafood is always SO fresh regardless of what time of year it is, which is fantastic. Thank you :)

I love this restaurant so much that I could live on their food and nothing else. The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful, the food quality is amazing and the plating is stunning. I have to recommend this place as one of the best Italian restaurants in Newcastle 100%.

This is the best Italian cuisine I had in Newcastle, authentic and delicious. Ordered seafood linguine and really enjoyed. The flavour was spot on, the only downside for me was one or two clams tasted a bit sand, it was really difficult to fully clean the sand though. Compared the ones I had in the past, it was really good. The garlic bread was top notch too with great size. Family had lasagnas and they said it was lovely as well.

Amazing authentic Italian food. Every bite was delicious. The portions sizes were good and the price is great. The staff were lovely and attentive. You should definitely phone up to book a table because it's small and always busy. I can't wait to go back and try different dishes.
