Mascalzone is an authentic neighbourhood Italian. We found the food delicious especially the ravioli. The service was exceptional and the menu was excellent value for the quality of food you get. We found the location and venue is charming.
Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to try a family run Italian.

Just had tagliatelle with smoked trout and asparagus, I don’t often bother with fish but I saw someone order this. It was absolutely delicious. We both had it, and couldn’t believe how much we enjoyed it. Ian the chef has created something lovely.
What a fabulous hidden gem this is. I didn't know it existed, never mind been there for years, and it's a shame I've not been before.
The food was delicious, fresh, exciting new dishes to choose from as well as regular favourites you would expect at an Italian.

Great local Italian, all of the dishes were excellent. Seafood linguine was particularly good, and the mussels my wife had as a starter were massive.
Amazing authentic Italian food. Every bite was delicious. The portions sizes were good and the price is great. The staff were lovely and attentive. You should definitely phone up to book a table because it's small and always busy. I can't wait to go back and try different dishes.
Amazing place. Worthy of Six stars! Fabulous food and not overpriced too. Gets very busy, as it's quite small. Booking is essential, especially at the weekend.

Fabulous relaxed lunch with high quality food and great service. Seafood linguine and scallop special were superb. They accommodated the vegetarian in the party when we explained that pecarino is not vegetarian and we're happy to oblige.
This is our second visit to mascalzone and it certainly won't be our last!
