My friend and I went here for brunch one morning as we’d been wanting to try it for a while. We went on a weekday morning and it was still very busy with a mix of people, not just students. We both had the Mexicana eggs which were served on English muffins with salsa and a delicious chipotle style sauce. The waitress was also lovely and very knowledgable.

Delicious brunch! Love the interior of the place, staff were really friendly and helpful with allergen info. Torn over choice from the menu, so we’ll definitely be back! We had the meatballs, and the smashed avo with poached eggs added-both amazing. Creme egg brownie is a must have!

Met an friend for a coffee which then turned into a late breakfast . Great choice as the food was fresh and tasty 😋 Full English clean and not greasy with really good coffee . Staff friendly and the place is spotless

Delicious breakfast at this little gem. Arrived around 9.20 am and managed to get a table, but any later or larger groups and you will need to book. Service was friendly and quick for freshly cooked food. Lovely decor and an overall relaxing atmosphere for Sunday breakfast or brunch. Can recommend the baked eggs and the Mexican style eggs Benedict plus the classic flat white.

What do you look for when you want a coffee... Well all boxes were ticked when we visited at the weekend. We were greeted with friendly smiles and seated straight away despite not making a booking. The Sunday menu had something to suit most appetites on a Sunday morning, from sky high pancake stacks to full English. The coffee was smooth and full of flavour without leaving bitterness, the full English cooked to perfection. The surroundings are intimate, softened with lights, plants & mirrors making the environment warm & welcoming. You forget where you are situated off the road near a residential area. We will definitely be making the drive once again for a second visit soon.

I have eaten many breakfasts in my life and all over the world but the Mexicana eggs were superb, the best ever! Aidan’s kitchen is a definite must when visiting Newcastle.

I use Aidan's Kitchen as a breakfast stop when I am working nearby during the December weekends. It is a pleasure to set foot over the door. There is always a warm welcome, the place has a buzz about it and the tea and bacon sandwiches are excellent. Staff are friendly and efficient and prices are far lower than more up market institutions based in the city centre. Highly recommended from a man who knows a good bacon sandwich when he sees one.

Such a lovely place with friendly staff and superb quality food. With so many yummy things to choose from all four of us succumbed to the Full English but converted all other plates as we waited for ours. While we could have easily devoured any number of lively looking plates we nonetheless were more than satisfied by the freshly prepared breakfast we all loved. Worth booking in advance as gets rammed but the service is swift but not rushed. I can highly recommend.

Visited here for brunch during a short trip with my friend and our partners. We all ordered relatively different dishes, and every plate looked lovely and tasted amazing! I would recommend the eggs royale myself as they were delish! Around a 15 minute walk from the centre and really cozy decor inside, and staff were really friendly! Was really glad to have found this place! (I originally chose this place as the owner’s name is spelt the same as my brothers, which is rare!)

Amazing lunch in such a friendly place. Called on the off chance of a bite to eat and had a great surprise. Beautiful coffee and food... will definitely visit again 😊

I really like the menu here and my first experience was good. The only negative would have been that the flat whites are served in a glass which are hot to hold at first. However, the second time I came for breakfast, whilst the food was good, the service was not. Looking at other reviews, maybe we went on a bad day. It took a very long time to be served and I found the staff quite unfriendly.

Great food and staff , we went on Sunday morning. We had Egg Royale, cooked to perfection , absolutely loved it , staff were great lovely to deal with , I can’t remember the name of the waiter but he was a pleasant bearded chap he provided us with excellent service . I will definitely advice booking as it’s a busy place. I wonder if they can add non pork sausages to the menu , as we don’t eat pork that limits our options significantly on the menu.

We attended Aidan's monthly supper club and it is truly and honestly the best food I've had in a very very long time. We had both the meat option and veggie and genuinely can not fault either. The veggie option was the best I've ever been offered- AND no bean burger/stuffed mushroom/stuffed pepper in sight! £30 a head for canapes, starter, main and pudding and BYO drink - a taster of fine dining without the horrific price tag, and we left nice and full

This was our first visit here. If your looking for a cracking breakfast or brunch, this is the place. Fantastic menu, created using great ingredients and beautifully cooked. They serve Baristocracy Coffee which is incredible. Service is first class and super friendly. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Aidans Kitchen is probably brilliant for brunch, but the choice is just a bit limited for lunch. You really have to like eggs!! It’s noisy (but almost everywhere is nowadays), but the ambiance is cheerful. Service is excellent, but the table was sticky.
