The Chef reccomendWe visited as part of a large group in late Nov 2018. Because there were 12 of us, they had put us in the private dining room, which suited us perfectly. From the moment we arrived, I honestly could not fault the restaurant in any regard. The service was attentive without being overbearing, the food was sensational, and the bill was incredibly reasonable considering the food and drink we had over the course of the evening. I couldn't recommend this place more!
We were so happy to find this perfect 'little gem'. Amazing food; cooked so beautifully. The staff were just the best. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening and the extra prawn crackers you gave me to take home.
Had a lovely meal here food was very fresh and full of flavours , the staff were very good too shame we found out it was closing due to the whole building being sold which was out of there hands hopefully you’ll find other premises
The food and the service was 5 star.. so attentive all the staff and owner. We all had the banquet and changed a couple main meals. Wasn't a problem. Very impressed with everything. Thank you
This is a modern Chinese restaurant just off the quayside. Lovely food and very attentive staff. Best Chinese I have had for ages and not that expensive considering how good it is. Free parking is available. Not massive and fairly busy, so a good idea to book.
I’ve been here a number of times now mostly as a staff night out but this time was a group of friends we ordered the banquet @ £28 which for 8 of us was terrific value for money and everyone enjoyed it pity it’s closing in August I only hope the open elsewhere close by
Was here last week and was surprised at the lovely selection I had chicken and sweet corn soup for start then chow me in which was delicious then forced an ice cream as was full all was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful
We picked this one based on the existing TripAdvisor score and we were not disappointed. The ribs were amazing and that fish dishes that we had had amazing depth of flavour. Basically awesome. Will go again this weekend.
We chose this place because of the reviews and we weren't disappointed the food was exceptional, and the staff and service was first class lovely warm people. As far as we are aware this restaurant is not closing any time soon so please visit and enjoy
We went here on a very busy night in Newcastle after the championship rugby final. It was extremely popular and rightly so as the food was excellent and the staff were all friendly. We had the banquet and it was probably the best we have had. Drinks are very reasonably priced. At the end of the meal the manager sorted taxis for us which was much appreciated.
we have been coming to this restaurant for years and returned after a few years away. we found the name had changed but i can say the food was still as good as always - the staff are lovely and friendly and would recommend to anyone and i will return on my next visit to newcastle
We came here for our friend's birthday and had a lovely meal. The food was delicious and came out pretty quickly. The staff were really nice and friendly. Had a very nice time and would definitely return.
We had a table for four and ordered a mixture of starters to share and our mains. All food was excellent, tasty with just the right portion sizes. Wine list was good, but had some supply issues so happily we swapped around the wine list and were gifted a really drinkable Pinot noir for our trouble. Staff were friendly and service excellent. Worth the few metres extra walk along the quayside.
Had dinner in here recently as a group. Food was fantastic had no complaints from anyone. They had issues with the lift but that was no problem for the staff who helped our party with mobility issues get into restaurant. Would come back if down here again.
I booked after reading excellent reviews from TripAdvisor.Have a great evening dining at the restaurant. I had an early dinner from the happy hour set menu which was reasonably priced and delicious. Food was five stars, especially the salt and pepper king prawns and barbecue ribs. The service was fine, manager and staffs there are so nice and helpful. I will certainly be back.
Great dining experience at Liu Dining, our greeting on arrival was very welcoming, the staff are really friendly and make you feel special. The interior of the restaurant is very tastefully decorated which creates a nice ambience. The service at Liu Dining is first class, the staff are polite, efficient and go that extra mile to enhance your dining experience. The food tasted great and was very well presented, drinks were reasonably priced and the menu had something to suit everyone's taste. My salt and pepper rib starter was delicious as was my main course of squid in chilli oil. Total price for 5 starters, 5 mains and 2 rounds of drinks was £148, this was good value for the excellent standard of food and service we received.
I really recommend this place for couples or family gatherings as the place is really clean and well decorated. The orange chicken and shredded duck was really up to standard and the service was rather quick, even though the restaurant was quite full when we went. The staff were really friendly as well. The restaurant also offers free parking at the hotel opposite which was really helpful.
called in to give my staff a pat on the back and im glad we did we choose the set menu for 8 and everything was fresh well presented and very tasty so much so we are going back on the 29th
From starters to main was absolutely five star quality and was so impressed with the speed of food being served. Staff was super friendly and helpful with food allergies (BIG THANKS! Will definitely give a six star if I could. Coming back real soon!😆
