Eastern meadow is a classic jesmond staple. The owner is super friendly and is always a pleasure to deal with. Food is always really enjoyable, fairly priced and normally served extremely quickly. Not sure what else you’d need to know never had a bad meal from here and definitely hots the spot when you fancy a cheeky takeaway. Only thing to note is they only take cash.

Probably the best restaurant in Newcastle 👍 I ran out of superlatives!!! My wife and I have never eaten finer!!!!! They made our anniversary!!! The sefvice is fantastic really got on with our waitress who was attentive though not obtrusive as were her colleagues. The food is beyond description the chef even ran out of words!! The uncooked steak pie!!! Was a deconstruct based on steak tartare but OMG what a starter the pastry tuille on top hid the stunning level of flavour that means clearly every steak I have had was seriously overcooked. The wife's kipper was just amazing the flavours out or this world. The food is just a Turner on a plate the art and design would have titian envious because the flavour takes it to a whole new level. I can not recommended this restaurant highly enough 5,stars are not enough

Best little takeaway in the area hands down. A very gentle man who serves you, the food quality never fails & always somebody in there so mustn’t just be me! I recommend the duck starter pancakes or duck fried rice.

Great little takeaway. Bit more expensive than other takeaways in the area but worth it. Keep your ears peeled when ordering coz the guy taking the orders speaks very softly. Could be I'm just corned beef mind.... what?

Simply the best. The most wonderful Chinese I ever had. The char Sui melts in the mouth totally beautiful. I don't live local but will be happy to to undertake 20 mile round trip for this place.
