I booked the private dining room for my 40th birthday celebration and it was absolutely perfect. We had exclusive use of the upstairs bar for pre-dinner drinks then enjoyed delicious tapas before heading back to bar for drinking and dancing. The staff were amazing and looked after us really well, I could decorate the room and bar how I liked (tropical/flamingo themed) and used my own play list for the music! I totally recommend this place to anyone whatever the occasion.

Really enjoyed the food here. It was a Friday lunch so the place wasn't too busy. I grew up in the USA and love decent Mexican food, this place lived upto my expectations but with some twists on the food. I had Latin croquettes to start and they were really delicious. As a main I has the pulled pork tacos and they were just amazing, I could have eaten 5! I'll be back for more in the near future! Thanks El Paso.

Lovely place. Really nice atmosphere and staff are the perfect level of friendliness. Definitely recommend the cloud catcher tea, so much more than a tea, its an event, a ceremony, a moment. The dark chocolate torte as well. My mouth was watering as I was eating it, and it was flanked beautifully by real ice cream. Not stuff crunchy with ice crystals out of the freezer. It was thick and creamy. With sweet sharp red berry sauce. El Paso is amazing.

Out for a few beers in Jesmond and jumped into El Paso for an off-the-cuff bite to eat. The place was quiet as was 2pm on a Friday but this did not detract from the atmosphere. Fantasticly authentic music. Great service, lovely surroundings and unreal food. The lentil enchilada is one of the best vegetarian dishes I've ever had- packed full of flavour. I would like to compliment the front of house staff for their service and the kitchen for their food. Will definitely be returning on our next trip to Newcastle!

Good atmosphere. Good food. Clearly still a new restaurant working out quirks. Doesn't have a regular margarita on the menu. They only advertise flavoured margaritas. My biggest gripe is that they put mushy peas on the fish tacos and call it "pea guacamole". Guacamole literally means avocado sauce. Pea guacamole is NOT thing. And it doesn't belong on Mexican food. Please take that off the menu. Otherwise very good.

YOU SHOULD INCLUDE THIS RESTAURANT ON YOUR TO DO LIST when you are visiting Newcastle. I was there with my family nearly 2 months ago and I promised to write a review. Even after 2 months I still remember the flavour of the food, friendliness of the staff and beautiful interior. We ordered red sangria jar and drank about four of them. This is a must to try. Together with the main course we ordered the tapas. The goat cheese, patatas bravas, calamari. All of them just got us more excited for the main course. Next I got burrito with pulled beef and I tried the Death Sauce that came in it's very original glass craved into a skull. The waitress was so nice that we enjoyed our stay even more. Her behaviour was natural and very friendly. I would give this restaurant more stars if it would be possible because they deserve it. I am sorry for reviewing my stay two months later, but I hope this will give others better idea how satisfied I was and they will visit. And please, don't be like me and if you really like something write your review right away :) I am including only one picture of my food from that day, it's not a good quality (I realised that I should make a photo after tasting it 😊) because I am taking pictures and writing reviews only when I am very satisfied :).
